It's an excellent mini PC, but customer service locked in a 5 star rating. The first unit developed a hardware problem (most likely the PCIe controller). After back-and-forth troubleshooting via email (responses were quick), the problem was not fixed, so customer service replaced the unit. I shipped the unit back on a Sunday. The new system was up and running on Monday, 8 days later. The configuration is well thought out and met my needs very well. I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak to gaming, but the graphics were fine for software development and some basic Photoshop. The system is fast and comes with 32 Gb memory and 1 Tb NVME disk. This PC is amazing, you will not believe the power inside this thing, extremely fast, everything worked like a charm since the first start up, gaming on this tiny little thing is just the extra cherry on top, do not expect 4K AAA gaming, but it is decent for most low demanding games at extremely decent FPS, you can look online for the Ryzen 7940HS with the 780M capabilities if gaming is what you want it for, but for every other task is just more than what you might ever need, blazing fast internet browsing, applications open instantly, there is not wait time for anything, click it and it is already open... so far it has been extremely reliable, hook it up with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and is hidden behind the monitor with the provided bracket for VESA mounting, only the power cord is needed, so there is no messy cables all over. If you are looking for a extremely decent performance all around desktop for home or office, you will not go wrong with this mini pc. ... show more

(For UM790 Pro) As delivered, the system seemed stable, but after a few updates, weirdness started happening. First thing I noticed was VLC audio was choppy, but other players could play those videos smoothly. Several video players would freeze the video portion when jumping around in the video and I'd have to exit and start again to get moving video. When Zoom was running, I couldn't see the video preview in Zoom's Video Settings, and videos wouldn't play at all in VLC (weird strobing, had to dance on the red X to close it, but it took about 15 seconds to see it). Also, other programs would have blank screens for their interface pages when Zoom was running, and Youtube had long 30 second lags pretty much all the time. Zoom also crashed a lot whenever Firefox was running. I also saw video flashes of the desktop that looked like video sync let go for about 1/10 second. Of course I tried fixing some of these things independently by turning off hardware acceleration in the browser, picking another rendering method in VLC, etc, but nothing really fixed anything. I also had USB drives disconnect and reconnect every 8 or 10 hours (Bios is 1.09 I think and this is with the Sabrent Nvme/Sata enclosure, Amazon item B08RVC6F9Y). The other thing I didn't like about Win11 was that new USB attached drives didn't get drive letters automatically and open up the folder like in Win10. I had to have a shortcut to DiskMgmt on my desktop, and every time I tried to get videos off an SSD, I'd have to go into DiskMgmt, assign a new drive letter to the drive, then find it under This PC. Yuck! So I pulled the SSD and put in my own 2TB gen3 drive. Slower? Yes probably slightly. Noticeable? Not to me. I installed Windows 10 from scratch, purchased the Driver Easy pro program (saw it on Youtube, knew it wasn't a scam) and in minutes I was back running with all drivers loaded. I have a folder saved with tools I'll need if I ever set up a new PC, so all I had to do was basics like Ninite free tools, Titus debloat, install SyncTrayzor to get my folders back from another PC in the house (including the "tools for a new PC" folder) and I was back to my fully functioning desktop in about an hour. Now that I'm on Win10, everything runs beautifully. Performance seems the same in desktop use. No video glitches, VLC plays videos just fine again, regardless of what other programs are running. Zoom didn't lock up this morning, and all my tools can show their interface pages again. No video glitches. The only thing still happening is the occasional disconnection of the USB drive, so that might be a Bios/hardware thing. Not a big problem, as I just have to close the folder when I find it open unexpectedly. Also, I get a folder pop open every time I insert a USB drive to grab videos. Nice! I'm not sure what's wrong with Win11, or maybe it's just because this CPU and APU are so young that drivers aren't hammered out yet for Win11, but if you have this system, I HIGHLY recommend you save your SSD and try Win10 on another one. You can always stick the original SSD back but it solved all my myriad of issues that were driving me crazy and making my Zoom jobs scary to sit through. PS. If you play older shooter games like L4D1/L4D2, Halo, this chipset is fine for that generation of games. I think I'll be fine on Mini PCs from here forward. ... show more

This Mini PC has exceeded my expectations. Wanted something, initially either an Xbox or PS5, to play games on the TV from the couch. After reading and watching reviews from various places I decided to try this out. Created a new Steam account, which I added to my main accounts family sharing, and this has access to 99% of my library. It plays every game I own at medium to high settings @ 1440p on a 4K TV. It will play @ 4k but framerates will be limited at times depending on the title. Emudeck emulation works right out of the box, no issues there. Mounted the PC behind the TV using the included VESA bracket and four spare spacers I had lying around which provided an additional inch for better venting as the fan exhausts in that direction. Once mounted, the one negative appeared as the TV blocks line of sight to the couch and Bluetooth will cut out if you are far enough away, as my couch is. To resolve this I double sided taped a small 4 port USB hub to the top back of the TV, as seen in the picture on the right, and plugged in controller and keyboard dongles there. BT connections to the same peripherals are spotty otherwise.
