the instructions are bad but if you persevere it actually works well. It was fun to build but you have to be very careful to put the correct length of connector in the correct location. I tore it down twice because I didn’t pay attention. I gave up putting all the aesthetic pieces on as i just wanted it to function. If you see my video you can see that I ended up just putting the last few pieces anywhere. As long as it ran I didn’t care. ... show more

This little V8 kit is actually a lot of fun once you get into it. The pieces snap together nicely and when it’s all done, watching the pistons move is pretty satisfying. It feels like the kind of project you want to put on display after finishing because it looks way cooler than just another model car. That said, the instructions aren’t perfect. Some of the parts are really close in size and I had to double-check myself a few times. If you rush, you’ll probably end up tearing sections back apart like I did. It’s not a “sit down and zone out” kind of build—you have to pay attention. ... show more

Had a lot of fun building this. A fully functional motor. As always you have to pay close attention to the sizes of parts which sometimes are hard to tell apart so younger builders may find this challenging. For the most part it went together well and easily. I did have an issue with the motor shaft coming loose when it rotated so would recommend putting some Kragle on it to keep it in place. ... show more
