This is amazing! It heats the water quickly and holds temp for a decent amount of time. We use it in our food truck and its perfec for washing dishes and our hands. The temperature control on it is great and pretty accurate. When I build my next food truck I will definitely be buying another one! The only down side is there's no way of draining it without taking it off the mount but thats easy enough.

Nicely packaged - looks good - looks like it will be an easy installation. Too soon to know how it will work. Now for an update - I had to return the first unit because of a leak. To be completely fair and honest though, that leak may have been the result of not using an unidentified washer that was never referenced in the instructions. The leaking unit was relaced with no problems. The second unit is working very nicely with no leaks. I did have to buy one aftermarket hose to make all the connections work. My guess is that most people will not need to buy an additional hose, since the unit comes with the two hoses that should work for most applications. So after one month in service, I am pleased with the unit and would buy it again.

I have used this water heater about a month. It worked great then suddenly the water was heating to over 200 on low, the temperature screen would come on then go off now there is no hot water. Something is definitely faulty but I do not know how to contact the seller as it says in the manual. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.

This is a small tank water heater, that plugs into a regular 110/120v outlet. It is simple to install if you understand the difference in pipe threads/connections, such as straight threads vs tapered. Any plumber should have no problems. It is nice and compact, and appears to be good quality, and should last well past it's cost vs durability time frame. I waited to review this until I had used it long enough to know it would last. Always be sure to follow code, and do install a safety pan under any water heater. We use these under the master suite lavatory, piping the hot water supply into them, coming out and to the hot water side of the faucet. Doing so allows you to have hot water immediately for hand washing, but if you wish to keep running the water, by the time you exhaust the tank capacity, you should be receiving hot water from your main water heater, replenishing the tank with warm enough water to achieve your goal. They work great in this application, and there is far less wear and tear, complexity, initial installation and operating expense than installing a hot water circulating system.

I’m building a tiny house that doesn’t have a bathroom. I do however need a kitchen sink that has some hot water. What I didn’t want was a large water heater. This solves that issue. 2.5 gallons isn’t going to be enough to take a shower with, at least not a very long one at all. But it is enough to wash dishes, hands, etc. Please note that you will need some NPT adapters to get this to work with a regular faucet. So plan to spend a few more bucks on brass. I don’t know the exact sizes because I had them on hand. To get the most out of this, I suggest setting the temp as high as it goes (150F). I would advise getting a mixing valve and put it before the sink so that you can control the max hot temperature by allowing more cold water than hot to mix. This will reduce the GPM’s coming from the hot water tank and make it last a lot longer. It takes around 5 minutes to get up to temp. Since this uses nearly 15 amps, I would suggest running this on a dedicated circuit. If you can’t do that, you should be mindful of what else is on that circuit, such as a garbage disposal, and only run other things when it is in “insulate” mode (not heating). Otherwise you’ll be resetting breakers often. It comes with a pressure relief valve, a brass T fitting for the cold supply, and some teflon tape. Along with instructions and some hoses. It was able to maintain the temperature at a fairly modest rate, and I think this will make for a great under-sink water heater for my tiny home.

This is perfect for my small space. It's energy efficient and works well. I don't use it at the high setting as it gets super hot. I'm happy with it. It's a good value for what you get.
