Boy was I fooled...i looked at the reviews and thought why not So when I received it I was very excited because I had many pants that needed shortened. I unpacked it and read the directions and then googled how to set up. I followed everything to a T. I must of threaded the machine at least 20xs and watched another video in case I was missing something. No not at all. It would not sew a straight line or anything at that. So after going at it for over 2 hrs I decided that if I don't quit I would end up throwing it out the window. If I can spare one person from frustration than I hope this review helps. I guess that saying " you get what you pay for" really applied to this sewing device. All i needed was for it to sew a hem or two. Wasted money...wasted time.

My daughter needed a small sewing machine for a co-op class that she can carry around. I bought this one. Hers broke the first time she used it. Now it's too late for a return. (I had purchased as a Christmas gift but she didn't get to use it until classes began this month). Not very forward thinking on my part. But now she's stuck with an adorable non-functional sewing machine and having to borrow the teacher's machine each week. Crap.

Didn’t work right straight out of the box. The test piece of material was fine but as soon as I put the same kind of material in it, it bound up on the bottom thread and made a knot. The needle wouldn’t stay in place, turned left. Could not adjust it. I know how to use and adjust a full size machine, this is not something you would want to give to a young girl to learn on, she will never want to try again!
