There isn't much I can say negatively about these binoculars. For the price you absolutely get your money's worth. But I should be mentioned that they don't work like the conventional set of binoculars do where the image you see is what is seen through mirrors and lenses. These use a camera that is shown out of one of the optics while the other acts as the IR "cannon", and the image is digitally displayed on it's internal monitor. You can either hold them up to your face and view or hold them any distance away from your face and still see the monitor easily. The night vision on these is powerful! It illuminates by flooding the area with it's IR cannon and picking it up on black and white. The IR cannon is so powerful that most uses will illuminate just fine under the 3rd or 4th level of lighting and the IR sensitivity set on low. The IR reaches insane distances! 1000 feet or 300 plus yards is easily attained, and nothing that isn't obstructed within that range will absolutely be lit up. This is older technology night vision, however, and generally not very stealthy considering anyone looking through a night vision camera will see you holding what looks like the world's most powerful Q beam. Security cameras are also exposed at night when looking through these. If you were hiding in the dark with these and someone looks Dea at you with just there eyes they would likely notice the dim red glow that the camera emits unless they were about 20 yards or so away. These are still great binoculars though. Nothing about it at all feels cheap. Nice packaging and quality build. The monitor isn't too small and the picture is clear, especially when using the night vision. If all you are wanting to achieve is ultimate night vision without needing a single ray of natural lighting these will satisfy you. If you are needing night vision to be able to travel and be able to see where you are going in the dark you'll want to find something different that is focused more on what's directly in front of you. The minimum useful viewing distance these focus in at is around 6 feet or so directly away from you. Anything closer is out of focus. This is a good buy any day of the week, and I've already have two other people getting this same pair now. ALSO, the manual states to use only alkaline, non rechargeable AA batteries. This is a voltage issue and not battery tech. Most rechargeable AA batteries are 1.2v, which is .2v less than alkaline disposables. If you use 1.5v rechargeable batteries the binoculars not only work just fine, but they last many hours longer than disposable AAs since they are usually equipped to store more energy. Certainly worth their weight in the long run. Amazon has plenty of options, but I have been using a certain orange and black colored brand for a while now that are excellent. Won't say another brand's name though under this review. ... show more

This DSoon NVG is NICE!!! For what it is, it works great. The night vision works in total darkness. For the price, it takes very good video and photos. 4x zoom is nice but full zoom-in still has your perspective zoomed out 2x so walking around is clumsy and action is out of the question. I figure the expensive NVG's have auto focus, this is manual but sensitive and clear. I am happy with these. ... show more

I just couldn't see good through them at night like I wanted to. What made me realize this was I was outside during the day and saw a cat about 200 ft away, maybe a little more, and grabbed them to see how clear it would be through them and with as much zoom as I could get I couldn't see it clearly. I would like to have had more pixels. Even at night I thought the picture wasn't clear enough. My husband said he liked them okay but I am looking for something with a better quality picture. Took them out one more time last night and wasn't impressed. I think I'm looking for a $1000 item for $200 which is not going to happen Im pretty sure, so I returned them and will keep looking. I did find that they were fairly easy to use as a plus for the product. ... show more

Was skeptical at first cause I have owned two prior night vision binoculars that claimed they were everything I was looking for, but failed . So when these arrived I was waiting for more of the same I had gotten with the two prior binoculars. But let me tell you, even before I looked through the lense, I knew these were different. Just by the weight of the binoculars, I thought to myself, these are gonna be different, the looks I could tell ,these are not gonna be like the prior. I read the directions which are very user friendly. Installed the strap, memory card and batteries. So far, so good. I stepped outside to check out the performance, still half skeptical. Pitch dark out, I brought them up to my eye level with binoculars turned on, without even getting to focus them yet, I was impressed with what I could see, I knew at that minute, these binoculars ain't no joke. I fined tuned the dial some and OMG, it was as if the target I was looking at was in arms reach. And so clear!! I hollered for my wife, I had to show her. She never seen a man so damn happy over some binoculars. Lol. So I went outback to a tree stand on edge of a bean field. About 20 minutes, I thought I was at a zoo. Watched a mother coon and her 5 kittens play and eat. Saw a possum, doe and two fawns. Several other does and two four points, the there he was, this massive 10 point I've seen only two other times. Other side of bean field and these binoculars brought him right up to what seemed to be touching distance. And the clarity of the pictures was as if it was daytime. I was shocked, starstruck, couldnt believe it. Dsoon, you nailed it. The first night vision binoculars that I can say I'm totally satisfied with and that are worth every penny paid for them. To me , there isn't any other night vision binoculars. Dsoon is the only one . I appreciate your product, your honesty with your product. ... show more

The IR isnt bad , isnt perfect but is far from bad. Zoom is pretty cool and shows images very well habemt used in daytime and only have used 10 or less times now at night but those 10 or so times have shown to be very useful and helpful to spot what is going on at night even cross a field and watching coyotes. Wish i could have a headset/skull cap or something to make it hands free like other nvgs. Other than having to hold to use they are very nice and fun to use. The kids and I even have spotted shooting stars and other stars and planets using these at night. Pretty fun and cool. ... show more
