I got this drone as a first step into flying a larger one. The price was right and it featured a lot of things that I need to properly learn before "moving up". Controls, proper starting and landing procedure, cell phone pairing. It is a great little toy - and should be viewed as such. There are specific functions for 3D loops, and other cell phone functionality that are non-standard and maybe even cool to try out (such as VR, I have not tried it yet). As others have noted, this is a compact drone. The size is smaller than a standard roll of bathroom paper - as seen in the image and its very lightweight (far under the 250g weight limit for drones with little FAA restrictions). This helps with keeping the dimensions of the motors small, but it won't work well with wind. However, overall the haptics of this is not bad at all - the pairing with the remote always worked, so did the wifi connection (oddly enough not on my Android - only on my Iphone). The overall contents of the package (photo attached) was generous with multiple spare rotors (I have not broken one yet), and a spare battery for a longer overall flight time. The camera itself is a nice gimmick - but, given the competitive price, obviously not comparable to real high end drones. It has its place for learning the ropes (both kids and adults) and simply having fun with it. Recording stuff is simple with a click on the cell phone screen. I was amazed about what this tiny little package can do. In the process of using it, I had a small issue with the arm alignment, and had to contact the seller/support. Their response time was really fast and we quickly found a working solution. As others have noted, their customer support is commendable. So, if you need something to hone your (or your kids') drone skills, or want to have a fun gimmick to see the world from higher up, this is likely a great toy and might even be a stepping stone into the larger (and far more expensive) drone world.

For the price it was a well built drone. We had it up and running in 10 min. Instructions aren’t 100% thorough but a little bit of playing with it and it was self explanatory. My son who is 7 was able to get the hang of it. It’s pretty sturdy since we did drop it and run into our tree and the side of the house a few times. Nothing at full speed but still running into id imagine it would have broke or something. So far it’s still running good. Great for the kids to have and learn with before purchasing the expensive ones. Definitely recommend.

This is an update on my initial review of this drone. After my initial review of the drone, I was contacted by the manufacturer who provided a replacement drone for testing. While not perfect, the new drone did not exhibit the behaviors the initial purchase showed, indicating that I did, indeed receive a bad unit. Now that I had a functional unit I was able to test the functions of the drone per its advertised features. I was able to charge the drone successfully, connect it to my phone to the drone's wifi, fly the drone indoors, and take videos and photos. The flight characteristics were decent and the drone was able to hover relatively smoothly after launch. The drone has a down-flow camera which should allow it to stay relatively steady and maintain a constant altitude. (This was not working on my defective unit which made the drone completely uncontrollable). In flight indoors. Once in motion, however, it takes some time for the drone to lock into place and stabilize. The drone control has "trim" buttons which should help compensate for drift but these did not work reliably. Because its flight is very drifty and the controls are highly responsive, it can be very tricky to control, but it is possible with practice. This is what you get at this price point where the device lacks sophisticated gyroscopic, flow, and gps controls. I'd equate this to driving a car without power steering (like driving a go-cart) and manual transmission. It will get you there but the ride is not going to be super smooth. You need to be prepared that the learning is half the fun which is sweeter when you achieve mastery. To sum up: * Good Value at the price point * Decent Photos and Video at the price point with very clear pictures and video at 720p within 25' of your phone. * Good Stability indoors, but would not recommended in *any* kind of wind. Outdoor use should be restricted to very wide open spaces because of possibility of significant drift. * Includes 2 batteries with decent play time (appx. 15 mins per battery). * Responsive Tech Support

The features of this drone are great. Bought two identical for grandkids. We used them outside on a calm day. Both had the right rear rotor stop working. We tightened the rotors and thought we had it. But lasted a few seconds on one and a couple minutes on the other. Expensive entertainment for three hours of fun.

Generally speaking, it is a good entry-level drone, small but strong, and it has been dropped many times without damage. Two batteries can last half an hour. I hope the camera can respond faster, and it will be a few seconds later on the mobile phone after connecting.
