This is a small hobby drill press. In my opinion, there is a huge safety risk with this drill press. There is no top cover over the pulleys and the belt. The on off switch in on the back of the top part of the drill press. It very natural to put your hand over it on turn it on / off. At that point, you are touching the moving parts, and potentially pulling your fingers or gloves into the belt, or maybe just a pulley burn. I added a picture of my glove over the pulley, and the finger over the switch. I tried reaching for the switch from the side; you have to force yourself to do this. If someone who did not realize the danger used this press, they would also put their hand on the pulleys. This mini drill press needs a protective cover, either from the seller, or you need to DYI your own, or pick a different model. Besides the safety concern, this is a hobby drill press. It is powered by a transformer similar to a laptop. It comes with a few small bits, the larges may be 1/8. The press is made mainly from aluminum. It works smoothly, but the tolerance is what I would call adequate for hobby work. It comes with a mini clamp, and some hex keys. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a perfect drill press for hobbyist model builders. Precision drilling on a tiny scale -- this even includes a 0.8mm bit. Total throw depth is 1.5". My only complaint is that you have to pick the whole thing up and flip it over to adjust the clamp. Otherwise, it's VERY nice, with virtually no plastic, all metal chassis. ... show more
