I got this iron to use to apply glue backed wood banding on to the edge of plywood. It worked perfectly. It got hot and reached temperature fast. Small in size and lightweight, making it easy to hold and use. It completely melted the glue and the iron surface was large and flat enough to insure good application. Being small it was a bit unstable when left standing. But do not leave it unattended which would be common sense and It should meet many different types of light to medium duty uses. Very happy with his,I applied over 40- feet of banding and it worked great. Just have to keep the wife and grandkids from finding it or my "wood working" Tool will become a Perler Bead press which it appears to also be suited to.

Love the size and weight. Works much better than the regular iron I was using. Heats up quickly. Very easy to use. I have found out that for it to work properly with melty beads it needs to be cranked up pretty high, especially on the larger sprites. Some people have complained about the cord but I've had no issues with it getting in the way. Overall very satisfied. I love the color selection. I'll probably be getting more.

The iron is very light. The cord strain relief gets twisted around during use and can make the iron not sit flat on table. It could cause it to fall over. If the iron was heavier the bad strain relief wouldn’t be as much of an issue. Also the iron surface doesn’t glide smooth once it’s been used a few times. The temperature setting doesn’t seem to offer much variation. Less than max and it’s just too cool but turn it up a little and its too hot. I think this has to do partly with the iron being so light that the heat isn’t maintained during the heating cycle. So fully on is all that really works. As for a cheap iron it’s expected I guess. But this should be noted. This iron works on max but be extra careful with the cord. If it came with a base like other small irons it might be better and solve the unstable issue.
