I used standard silverware for size references. Hubby & I played for fun but got it for 4-8 yr old grandkids. It takes 8 AA batteries, so no cord. The on switch is partial under the fan frame, so it took a minute to find it. It clips into pre-drilled holes, so only screw driver for battery plate. Works great but it’s small... I think a teen would be put off by the “kid size” version. I bought a “used” and the frame did have a crack in the wood, but not too big. For about $15 we will keep it. The pucks are light weight and can fly off the board with rough play. I think K-6 would like this a lot, or if you wanted to have a fun ice breaker for a party or gathering... hubby & I laughed the whole time we played. I made it into a math game! The students now want to play when it's not a Rainy day! They challenge each other and the students not playing choose a player to support and cheer on. They can't wait to take their turn and them performing the different math skills is an added bonus!

You get way you paid for so I wasn't expecting anything amazing. But the felt under the hand pieces came off right away so they because difficult to even use to play and the top is made of a type of cardboard that scratches easily and doesn't allow the puck to glide very well...
