As soon as I set this rack up I immediately ordered a second because I love it so much! For what it is I would consider it pretty sturdy, it’s a little lightweight so I’ll definitely end up anchoring them to the wall, which I would’ve done anyhow. Coats can get kinda heavy. The little plastic boards it came with to cover the shelves I’m going to reuse for another project because I don’t think they will hold up well in my home for their intended use. I think I’ll use a basic cloth to line them instead. The rack is very sleek looking, super easy to put together and the installation instructional stickers come off very easily with minimal residue. All of the screws went in nicely, all the holes lined up perfectly, nothing felt stripped as I was cranking the bolts in and there are no scary sharp weld points to poke skin or clothing. I liked the feet of that came with, I ended up unscrewing the back left leg cap to make the rack completely level, my floors are a bit uneven in some areas. If you like the way the rack looks definitely order it, the quality for the price is sound. My only concern is it surviving my crazy kids that love to climb everything. ... show more

This is rack is fantastic! The perfect storage solution for my entryway/front door area. Initially I was just looking for something to replace my old crappy shoe rack. I decided to shop for a new one and then install hooks over it for jackets/bags/umbrellas. Then I found this one and it seemed to be perfect for my needs. I assembled it within 10 minutes, it comes with very simple instructions. I was amazed at how sturdy it feels. It holds 12 pairs of shoes (using all shelves + the space between the bottom shelf and the floor), and I have several umbrellas, backpacks, purses, and a pair of winter coats hanging on it. Finally got delivered today. The shoe rack - Hall Tree was very easy to set up. It is lightweight and seems sturdy after the bolts were screwed properly. The plastic sheets that are to be placed on top of the rack are very flimsy and slippery and not fixed on the rack surface, and hence moving very easily while placing or removing shoes. It was okay for the price. One of the bottom pieces wouldn’t screw in properly and they don’t include any extra screws or pieces. Not overly sturdy. Works fine for light jackets and dog leashes. i was pleasantly surprised by nice this is and how simple to put together. it looks good in my entry hall. a few suggestions though, the screws are silver, the unit is black . i would have preferred that the screws blend in. the hex wrench. i used a ratcheting screw driver with the appropriate bit. hex wrenches are uncomfortable and make it difficult to tighten the screws enough. consider putting in a safety strap. there isnt a lot of weight to the unit. better safe than sorry. and then there is the packaging. it came in two boxes, one massive outer box with yards of packaging paper, the inner box which held the parts had styrofoam to keep the parts from shifting which isnt a bad thing. its the kind that breaks down to little beads when you handle it. we are talking foam beads all over. use a higher density foam and a sturdier box and eliminate the wasteful outer box and the mess those staticky beads everywhere. i would recommend this coat rack. now that its up, i am very happy with it. ... show more
