He was starting to amass a hefty amount of toys (especially after Christmas) but our house is fairly small, so he does a lot of his playing in the living room with us. Assembly was done by myself in about 45 minutes to an hour, but I was working at a snail's pace watching football in the background. It holds quite a few toys and the "woodgrain" looks really nice- we often get comments on how nice it looks! It holds up to our toddler climbing in it and standing on it. The assembly instructions said it’s a 2 person job but I was actually able to do it myself without my husbands help (although it gets a little tricky when attaching the hinge). The media could not be loaded. This bench is perfect size for blanket storage. It is sturdy. It closes slowly so it doesn’t slam shut. Very easy to assemble. I love the look! It looks like real wood. It matches our rustic farmhouse decor perfectly!

Decent chest, easy to build. The woods a little thin for me, the door arm is a bit stiff, all in all good chest for an adult to store things in, but I can see a kid breaking this if he over extends the door arm, or packs it with heavier toys.

I guess I had too high of hopes and should have known it was not a piece of furniture, but a pretty, fairly cheap box. Puts together pretty easy and everything aligned and works. One big hing leaves lid less than sturdy and the bottom is not much more than a piece of thick cardboard. It does look good as long as you’re not in for the long haul. Semi- disposable item that will surely ding even on the outside wood if it is bumped. Advertised as a kids box, people shouldn’t expect it to be pretty for long. We prob should return, but think we are keeping because we weighed the value of spending $170+ for a real storage chest and figure we will let it wear out and determine if we want something real or just don’t need anything at all. Since we are using it for stuffed animals, we have a fighting chance it might last a few. Oh. The handle loops are totally for show. If anybody thinks they can pick up eventhe empty box by these and not have a broken hole - we’ll think agIn. If you’ve done it and got away with it, consider ourself lucky. I would go with one that has handle holes on the side if you want handles. ... show more
