I use this tool mainly for tree trimming. It's powerful. It's also reliable, EXCEPT that the shoe pin easily falls out of the shoe release lever. The pin holds the guard on the front of the saw. So if you want the guard, you have to have the pin. The shoe release lever is made of plastic, so it flexes easily, and out drops the pin. Where did it go? If you work outside, as I do, you will have trouble finding it. Good luck ordering a replacement. Most part stores are out of stock. Guess why? Lots of people are having this problem. ... show more

Sadly I’ve been waiting to start on my remode of my house. Since I haven’t started mine, I decided to help a neighbor take a shed down….and oh it looks great, sounded great, until……you try 2 cut an the blade stops as if the gear is in neutral. Am I’ve used sawzalls all my life, nothing that I’m doing wrong. Or the other 5 workers that were there an tried 2 get it to work. I have owned several of these over the years. Seems they have cheapened the product. Dead on arrival, and it is a corded unit. Seller was great and accepted a return right away.

Lightly used, blew up. Inside is melted. Amazon will not let me return this item. Only bought this in the fall of 2018. Better off buying at your local dealer.

    • Seller never returned 💰 money
Returned as seller requested, as it was broken, was a Xmas gift, opened early smoked wouldn't work. Was told to send back, we did, they kept product, & never returned our money. This was a 300 dollar loss.
