  • Best cordless circ saw I've used.
Wow. Great saw. I'm not loyal to one brand or another as I own different brands depending on the tool. This is a light and easy to use saw. Personal preference enters here if you prefer a worm drive or side winder, but if you like the worms as I do, this is where it's at. I'm not sure why they went with a 6 1/2 blade other than perhaps a power/efficiency issue, but how often are you using a circular saw cutting more than 2x lumber? So this blade size fits 95% of any work you'll be doing. If your doing a small project, I've used the 5amp battery with out issue but for any prolonged use, I would recommend the 9 or even the 12 if you dont mind the added weight. Amazon is also a good place to buy these batteries as well, just pay attention to the description. The only small issue is the Allen wrench does not stay in its storage location well. No big deal as it's not frequently used and easily secured with a zip tie. For the price of $170 that I paid, you cant beat it. ... show more

  • Light, powerful, full featured skill saw.
I am re-roofing a tool shed/greenhouse and didn't want to lug my 7-1/2", 14 lb worm drive Skilsaw up to and around the roof, dragging the extension cord. So I added this to my growing collection of Milwaukee M18 tools. This saw is light, about half as much as the worm drive and no cord. I can not tell it's battery powered. I am cutting new/wet pressure treated 2x4" and 2x6" and the blade never slows! I bought 2-5 amp batteries. I have not drained one yet and think 2 would likely get me though a full day of cutting. I haven't made any angle cuts yet, preferring my chop saw. But the saws depth and angle setting are easy to change. The LED light is helpful and the sight line is good. The blade guard retracts easily. Unlike the worm drive Skilsaw's, which requires effort to push through the cut. In summary. This is a light, powerful, full featured 6.5" skill saw that is a pleasure to use. ... show more

  • Good job saw
This is a great go to saw, not sure how many cuts I'll get from it but I am running a forge battery which is suppose to be the best, the saw cuts really good, the only thing I wish milwaukee would have done is put the safety switch in a different place, a little difficult for me cause I have a little joint pain in my thumb, for most others it shouldn't be a problem, I would recommend it ... show more

  • Solid saw. Great company.
Great saw. I'm a big diy guy and use this a lot, though I'm not a pro. This has powered through wverything I've thrown at it. Blind cutting into 4x4 PT wood can bognit down, but it does the job if you go slow and/or make 2 passes. Battery life is more than sufficient, though I do have multiple batteries After 3 years the trigger started failing You can see you tube videos on this. I went online and registered with Milwaukee's eService, printed a shipping label, and two weeks later I had a brand new replacement...and I bet they have fixed the design issue with the trigger electronics. Solid saw. Excellent company standing behind it. Even with the hassle of no saw for two weekends, I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Good tool, but poor return/refund experience
All of my tools are Milwaukee, and I love this brand. I was excited to try this saw, but unfortunately I had an issue. Even with a fully charged battery, the tool was very difficult to start. I decided to return it and purchase a replacement later. I printed the return label and shipped out on Dec. 4th, 25, and the item was received by the seller on Dec. 29th, 25. As of now, I am still waiting for my refund and have not received any response to the messages I've sent. I enjoy shopping on Amazon and understand there are different sellers on the platform. The issue here is not with Milwaukee or Amazon itself, but with the seller's refund process. ... show more

  • Powerful enough, clean and straight cuts.
This is an absolutely adequate saw for cutting lumber. I replaced a tired DeWalt 20V and it is much better all around but it is newer. I ordered it and got it the next day. Works for me.

  • Good saw but what's up with the Allen key storage?
Nice saw. It is really light, even with the battery installed. Adjustment is easy. It comes with their "construction" blade. I'm sure it is fine but switched to a thin kerf DeWalt blade. I've only had it a couple of days thus far but cut some pressure treated lumber with it, which it didn't have a problem with. The safety interlock takes a bit of getting used to. One problem: The Allen key used to change the blades is stored inside the handle but falls out when you hold the thing sideways. That's just stupid and clearly not given any kind of thought. To keep the key in place, I put a zip tie around the handle and across the key, leaving just enough slack so the zip tie can be moved enough so the key can be taken out. ... show more

  • My new favorite circular saw!
I have a few different circ saws of different brands and sizes to choose from, including the larger Milwaukee 7-1/4" Fuel cordless. But this one became my favorite right away. It feels good in the hand, is the right size for most jobs and has plenty of power. Obviously as with any cordless power tool you'll want a spar battery, but I've gone through the workday on one battery many times. I've retired most of my corded power tools, today's batteries make most of them obsolete. I recently gave away my corded Milwaukee 7-1/4" saw to a friend. The sole plate is pretty beat up and I wasn't using it any more. But after 40 years it's still running strong. Milwaukee builds tools for the long haul. ... show more
