Because this was the first time that I placed an online furniture order, I religiously read and reread review after review. I finally purchased this daybed from MILLIARD because it met my needs for style and function and seemed to have overall great reviews. When the bed arrived I was thrilled with my choice, thus the four stars - well packaged on arrival, easy instructions for assembly, sturdy construction and great style. A week after assembly, I added the twin mattresses and rolled the trundle back under the frame. I then noticed that one of the trundle leg support wheels had fallen off. This wheel is one of four that supports the trundle in its lower position. On inspection I discovered that these wheels are welded to the frame by four small tabs. No other screws hold the wheels in place and obviously this one weld failed. In my opinion, for parts that would suffer a good deal of stress from the weight of a sleeper or from simply rolling back and forth, this is a poor design. I immediately contacted Milliard and they offered a same day response to send a replacement leg support, which I understood would arrive within a few business days. Again, I was very pleased to have selected this product and responded to Amazon that Milliard had taken care of the issue. However, 3 days later from their tracking app, I discover the part is actually out of stock. I contacted customer service again, and now have been told that the part is indeed out of stock. Per their Rep the part will be available in early August and “we will need to wait a bit before we can send it”. This is exactly why I feared an online purchase of this kind! I now have grandkids arriving on August 6 and an unstable lower trundle, which I expressly purchased to use in this manner. Of course I can use the bed in the upper position, but if I want to use it as I planned, I’ll need to initiate some kind of repair. I really don’t remember reading about this issue in any review. Hopefully that means the wheel failure doesn’t happen often. But it did happen to me, and despite the potential of receiving a replacement part someday, this situation is very disappointing. ... show more

Bed was easy to assemble and instructions were easy to understand. Best to have a second hand when putting together but did it alone and it wasn’t too hard. This day bed is sturdy, and easily put together. However the design makes the trundle suitable for no more than a 5 year old. So not good if you need it for teenagers. I believed I could use it for my grandchildren. They are 6, 8, and 11 years old. The trundle is too small for all of them.

It’s the perfect size for my small guest room. I was able to assemble it on my own. It looks great in the room and I was able to use two twin mattress I already had on hand. Worth the money!
