  • Great Tripod, Great Company
Size: MTT601A
I want to start this off by saying thank you Miliboo. I was in no way compensated for this review, however I feel obligated to let anyone reading know what a pleasure it was to work with this tripod and with Miliboo themselves. The product – I have owned this tripod for a year, I do freelance videography work part time and this has been amazing. I had a rig set up and in use on this at least once a week for a few hours at a time. It always performed well for me. I use a Sony A7iii (A7rii when I first bought the tripod) with a cage and various other attachments to give a sense of the type of weight I am dealing with. I was looking for a nice fluid head tripod but did not want to shell out the hundreds of dollars for the other leading brands. I was looking for a tripod with supports between the legs as well, you know, something sturdy. I was hesitant to purchase this at first because generally, with camera gear the saying “you get what you pay for” tends to hold true. After online window shopping for probably a couple of weeks, I convinced myself to give the Miliboo a try. So, I got the tripod and the first thing I noticed was how sturdy it felt. For far less money than I would have spent on say, a Manfrotto, this surprised me with how durable it felt right off the bat. The rest of it worked flawlessly as well. The pans and tilts are smooth, the legs adjust easily, the handle is comfortable to use and well, it just worked. I never felt like I was using a cheaper tripod or felt uncomfortable about what I would place on the camera or legs in regard to weight. I have used more expensive tripods like Manfrottos before, too and sure if you have them side by side you may feel some difference but the fact is you would never be able to tell by the footage you capture with it. It is precise with its movements and it is obvious that quality engineering went into the design of this product. What convinced me that I needed to write a review - I ran into an issue with the tripod fairly recently. It seemed to have some give to it when I would try to tilt up, like the top and bottom pieces to the actual piece that rotates had some space between them. I mean this is literally like a couple of centimeters MAX but it started to drive me crazy because even though it was so small IT WILL show up in my footage. Now, I can’t speak on whether this defect is a result of poor quality control, a one-off that slipped through on the production line, or something else as a result of the company. I can speak on the company handled this situation though. I know that I used the tripod quite a bit, tossed into my trunk while in its protective case here and there but I never mistreated it or did anything that led me to believe the tripod malfunctioning was my fault. Anyways, it was driving me nuts so I decided to get in touch with Miliboo. I remembered I had ordered it on Amazon and looked through my orders, found the product, went to the brands contact info and sent off an email. I just asked them if they had some type of warranty or guarantee and explained my situation and what the tripod was doing. I received an email back fairly quickly, especially considering we live on different sides of the world. Me in California and them somewhere in China. They asked about the problems with it and suggested some fixes which ultimately, did not end up working. They offered the fixes only after they assured me that they would take care of me no matter what. I mean, they were adamant that I was going to get this thing fixed! They literally sent me a cell phone video they had recorded the same day on their production floor of a worker taking apart/fixing the component in question on my tripod to see if this would help. This wasn’t some suggestion to go to a FAQ page and watch a generic video. This was someone close and personal to the production of the product leaving their office to go and record a video to send to some guy who sent them an email. Unfortunately, this did not work and I let them know as much. They apologized and asked for my info to send me a new one. I was stoked! I had bought this what felt like a long time ago from some company in China I hadn’t heard much about. I mean this correspondence was taking place over the course of about a week and I felt like my concerns were heard by them. This company took a personal interest in me and my purchase which just does not happen or convey well while making purchases online a lot of the time. I told them how amazing they were to work with and thank you for taking the time to work it out with me and they told me “No, thank you dear friend. It is our responsibility to make sure our product is good”. Like, what?! How awesome can these guys be? This company STANDS BEHIND their work. Again, thank you Miliboo, you have truly been a pleasure to work with and you have my business for life. ... show more

  • Great Tripod for the price!
Size: MTT609A
I wish there were more stars than just 5 for the "Value for the money" category because I certainly would have given this tripod more stars. I'm a network news shooter, have done feature films and documentaries and I own high end tripods . I have used, over the years, literally everything you can put a camera on. As another reviewer noted, this tripod could be confused with a high end Sachtler. I won a Sachtler ACE in a writing contest and this one is better. I really like the leg locks and the leveling adjustment. Panning and Tilting action is smooth and even. This is a very impressive piece for the money. Beautifully made and looks like the real deal, which it is. I definitely recommend. ... show more

  • This is the sturdiest tripod I own
Size: MTT601A
The Miliboo MTT601A is a very stable tripod, just what I need with my Full Frame cameras. The cameras are heavy, but need to be. The Miliboo MTT601A tripod is on the heavy side, but it has to be in order to provide the support I require. Zero movement, shake. I chose for a head the Manfrotto with a single handle to hold my camera firmly, zero shake., zero wobble. If you are going to transport the tripod by automobile, this is the tripod to own. I own at least 12 tripods. Some stay in my truck, in case I forget to bring the Miliboo. The extra weight, because we all know we sometimes need to walk to the site ti film, and the Miliboo have to travel for most shots. the Miliboo comes with a beautiful and rugged case (with a wide strap). I am handicapped and even I can carry it. I found that movement was ruining my shots. To get great shots, you need to hold the camera still. I went to college to get a degree in photography. Even the university required a tripod, but the one they required we purchase couldn't support the weight of my cameras. At least one of your tripods should be a Miliboo. ... show more

  • Only the pros will know you cheaped out.
Size: MTT609A
So I'll get straight to the point. This tripod could be mistaken for a Sachtler or other decent high end tripod at first glance. If you need something to just get you by this will do it. I'm a professional union cinematographer and have used just about every level of tripod and head from $50,000 geared heads to $50 Walmart specials. For this gig I was in a pinch and just needed something professional looking to support a Red camera in front of my client. Smoothness of the head wasn't real important. I definitely overloaded the head in terms of weight but the package is holding up well. If you just need some decent sticks that look good to hold a camera system temporarily this is a good choice. Only other camera men will know you went cheap. Your clients will likely be fooled as long you as you have a decent camera system on top. ... show more

  • A great deal, you wont be disappointed.
Size: MTT609A
Ok. Firstly this is well made. Its a MASSIVE quality step up from many other tripods in this price bracket and lower. Many of which are just junk. The MTT609A is mostly certainly not junk. It comes with a floor spreader which is useful and goes pretty low and decently high at 66". 75mm Bowl and the fluid head is nice and smooth, good spring return and pan and tilt feel to it, for a DSLR rig it is perfect. I wouldn't want to max it out weight wise, but i understand that they are coming out with some seriously heavy duty tripod products in the coming months, as they also produce very high end Fluid Heads in their M series which are build for broadcast and feature rigs so Ill look out for those. I purchased an additional arm with an extender, because it was a little too short for me, but your milage may vary. A great deal. And as long as you are buying it for the right rig and camera weight wise, you wont be disappointed. ... show more

  • What a wonderful low cost tripod
Size: MTT609A
It’s well built, sturdy, fluid, and does everything I need it to do. A great choice for my Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K and any other camera around its size or lighter even. The spreader is great and I just have a great time with this tripod. 10/10 would recommend to any Cinematographer or videographer who needs a good low cost tripod. ... show more
