Great product! A buildable mascara that transforms your lashes with each coat and leaves them looking long and lush! The best part though is the fact that this particular mascara is formulated as a tubing mascara! You can literally apply water to your lashes at the end of the day and wipe them clean! I had never even heard of tubing mascara until my 22- and 24-year-old daughters told me about this product and I’m so glad they did. I absolutely love it. It makes my lashes look so good that people ask if I’m wearing fake eyelashes, and I get compliments all the time. What I love most is how easily it comes off with just water, no scrubbing, no soap, and no leftover raccoon eyes. I use mascara all the time but this was my first time using a tubing mascara. This is definitely better than normal mascara but there’s a learning curve. This formula is very thick, wet and easily clumps so you need to have a seperate, clean, rubbery spoolie on hand and use after each coat. First use a lash primer. I like Loreal's because it helps create length, volume, gives mascara grip or something to hold on to and doesn't irritate my eyes like other lash primers do. Brush through with spoolie and repeat (2 coats of primer). THEN do one eye at a time completely with two coats of Malanie Tubing. Brush with spoolie after each coat to keep lashes separated. Then do the other eye the same. The reason you do one eye first is for control. This formula will clump like madness. You need to use that rubber spoolie after each coat before it dries so better to not bounce frome eye to eye. Just finish one eye first. Even on my extremely tightly curled lashes I got good results consistently using this method. This product is a great option for wanting more than what nature gave but not wanting fake lashes. I have not tried take off with warm water. I just use what I normally would. I mix Micellar water and coconut oil in a bottle and add to an unscented makeup wipe and very gently hold, very very lightly pinch and slide. Comes right off! Wash and do your face routine like normal and brush castor oil through your lashes and brows. This is a nice product!

I have been struggling with mascara smearing and flaking off during the day and thought I give this one a try. While it is a true tubing mascara, I find that the liquid does not coat my lashes consistently. It is very light at the root and thick and clumpy at the ends. I’m thinking the problem is the applicator. The heavy consistency of the tubing mascara liquid makes it difficult to evenly apply. I used a needle to separate some of the lashes but they still looked clumpy. It did make my lashes look long, it did last all day with no flaking and it didn't smear at all. I would have given it a 5 if it had a better brush and was less clumsy and more feathery as described.

I’ve been using this mascara for about 2-3 years and it’s always consistently my favorite, it’s my literally favorite because it goes on amazingly and doesn’t clump up or clump my lashes it just makes my lashes look longer and darker and it drys in like 30 seconds to a minute. Also the best thing about this mascara is you don’t need to use makeup wipes or anything just water to get it off so you don’t need to worry about breaking out or anything and honestly I just hop in the shower to get it off i love this mascara and recommend it to ALL OF MY FRIENDS.

I was really excited about this mascara due to the reviews I had read when researching which type to get. I was very disappointed. It clumps on the first coat and by the end of day it becomes flaky and you end up with small black specks all over your cheeks and in your eyes. This may be due to the easy wash off, but I'm not sure. All I can say is that for $15 it is NOT worth it.

UPDATE: I started using this over a drier mascara (Tarte ‘gifted’ and Vivienne Sabo ‘cabaret’) and I really like it now, so I added a star. It seems like it works better over another mascara than on bare lashes. I will continue to buy it if it works this well over other mascaras-it’s like a waterproof without the messy removal, and helps keep my lashes curled. But only when I use it in this manner. Lol ORIGINAL POST I really super duper wanted to like this mascara, but it’s been friend-zoned. Lol What I do like: the price, it’s fragrance free, removes easily, and wore all day without agitating my sensitive allergy eyes, flaking or smearing. What I don’t like: it applies super wet. My usual process is I start applying with the brush being vertical, which helps regulate the product, and then apply the second coat as normal. I normally get great results with this technique, but it does not work with this mascara. My lashes are long and fairly thick, I guess, and they were gooped together as if I were applying pan mascara…or vaseline. Lol It was very strange for a tubing mascara; I have tried Blinc to Thrive, and others, and haven’t experienced this before. (Those brands dry up too fast for the price, so I’ve been shopping around.) I tried separating my lashes with a dry spoolie after they dried a bit, but that made it worse. I had to mess around with them for 10 mins before I didn’t have creepy stuck-together doll lashes, and it took forever them to dry. Additionally, it didn’t hold the curl from the lash curler, either. Total bummer for me. On to the next. Sigh.
