I love this product, and have recommended it to several friends that have also purchased the very same design/pattern that I bought. I used it on my farmhouse door windows, as well as the two lower rows of windows on my farmhouse windows. to give me more privacy yet not block the light. The light still comes in and yet i have way more privacy. Should I want to actually see through this window film, i just have to put my eye right up to the glass and look through part of the flower patter I ordered. This may not be possible on the solid privacy option that does not have any pattern on the film. It looks beautiful IMO, and I highly recommend it. IT was VERY easy to apply. I was a bit leery as I read that so many people had a hard time separating the back of the film from the part you apply on your windows or glass. IT was a no brainier and just took patience to rub the corner of the film between my thumb and forefinger and bend the film a bit until I was able to separate the back from the front of the film and apply it. Used for privacy and more light in bedroom and side of living room with window facing neighbors’ window. Also back yard-facing window. Much better. Allows you to enjoy privacy but with light coming in through windows, without curtains making it so dark. Not completely private as at certain points/in certain lighting, you can discern “fuzzy” bed shape and probably some person in bed when standing on porch looking in from 3 feet away. (I close drapes at night.). The prism rainbow colors do not fully light up for my windows because the deck roof limits the incoming light able to bring it to fullest beauty, but the rainbow effect is quite lovely in the few flowers that “light up.” It is sparkly and crystal clear and lovely. Like lace made of cut crystal. Not 100% completely private at all times. But my windows are a distance from the road and I believe it is adequate especially when the light from the outside is brightest. At night with the light on inside, it is better to have draperies or curtains in addition, if you are security conscious. The interior of this house has a lot of wood paneling which sends an incredible abstract sparkle golden glowing light through the windows at night —really kicked it up a notch. Went from boring and meh to classy “high end.” Be sure to notice that there are several widths and lengths from which to choose. So measure your windows to see what would be the ideal width And be careful to choose the kind you really want so you don’t have to piece them together. I used a box cutter to cut them to size. My blades are not that sharp. At least the ones I bought I felt were not that sharp. It would be good to have a strong metal long ruler to hold down over the film while making the cut or use a pen or a marker with washable nonpermanent ink in case there would be some still on the film after cutting. Cutting around the flowers for a pretty effect requires sharp scissors. And patience. A partial 7/8 or 3/4 section of the film on window (rather than a 100% covering of film) may make you feel less blocked off from the outside world and hand cutting the flowers at the top gives a cut crystal vase like effect. I am not sure why this had bad reviews. I had no problems with it. I applied straight to a sliding glass door without even wetting and it has adhered fine. It is much easier to apply than sticky backed products. It is a nice thick material and blocks the light well. The pattern is attractive and the price is very good. There is literally zero sun that comes through. Exactly what I needed. I have a window in the foyer that is so bright and when I am watching television, it shines onto the screen which is very frustrating. I bought this because it said no rays will come through and the reviews were good. Believe them. It is very easy to put on the window. I used a spray bottle to wet the window and a squeegee to make sure it stayed up. I have had it on there for a while now and it has not moved. I live in a very hot area so I am not sure how difficult it will be to remove but I recommend if you need something to cover a window. I did put it on a little big and used a razor blade to fit it to the window. ... show more

I currently live in an apartment style building with 5 large ceiling to floor windows in my living room. Unfortunately instead of having a fantastic view of the beach, we have the pleasure of urban living with constant a parade of dogs who proudly perform for us without shame. Luckily I found a long enough window film with Mikomer. The day my package arrived, I immediately put it up and sanity was restored! I love how it gives a frosted cut glass look that allows plenty of light in, even on a cloudy day! Instead of applying the film from bottom to top, we applied it top to bottom and love the falling flower look. Note: This is not the first window cling we have used. Your chances of successfully putting this up depends on (1) a clean window-we used the all purpose 409 cleaner, (2) remove the backing-this was easier done with two people where one holds and the other pulls, (3) spraying water on the window when you are applying-if you don't have enough you can get too many air bubbles, (4) spray water on the top side of the film-this helps the squeegee move across the film without problems. This particular film didn't come with a grid so I couldn't measure and cut before applying. Make sure to change your blade if you are using an exacto knife or box cutter knife. Also keep scissors handy in case the blade doesn't make a clean cut the first time. Don't be afraid to spray more water if you need to pull the film back off to make a better trim. ... show more

How in the world do you remove the clear backing without destroying the window cling? I used my fingernails, several tweezers and I could not get the clear backing off. I’ve been trying for an hour. I give up.
