  • Incredible grinder for its price point!
Absolute great grinder for excellent espresso. Very easy to dial in and produced very consistent shots with less than 0.1 grams of grind retention. Incredibly happy with this grinder and would recommend it if you’re in the market. Looks excellent on countertop, very nice build quality for price point of this grinder. Grinder is near silent when no beans, and very acceptable noise levels when grinding beans. Grinds very quick as well which is a nice bonus. ... show more

  • Has some definite flaws.
Problems: 1. There is an intermittent high pitch metal on metal rubbing/screeching. Theory is that coffee grounds are getting wedged between the spinning burr holder and the outer housing, pressing the spinning holder out and causing the metal rubbing. You can adjust the dial back and forth to eventually clear it, but it reoccurs almost immediately. 2. Coffee grounds also get in the way of the grind size adjustment, making the dial extremely difficult to turn. 3. Very poor retention. They provide a brush to clean the ionizer leads, but the amount of coffee that comes out is excessive and seems anything beyond what would be coating just the ionizer. The bellows and knocker only help so much despite copious usage. You have to constantly brush it out. Pros: 1. The motor is extremely quiet, at least when you don't have the loud screeching of the metal on metal. 2. Beans don't pop out, the hopper works fine. 3. It grinds coffee. ... show more

  • What a mess
This grinder has not impressed me in the slightest for the price point. It does grind coffee, sometimes, often requiring excessive babysitting to avoid jams (which occur often). It makes a huge mess if you attempt to use their cup to catch grounds. The machine itself is pretty loud even when it isnt grinding coffee. The power switch and RPM dial being on one side and the actual grinder switch being on the other means this appliance needs at least six inches of countertop space on both sides. The retention varies wildly. While it adjusts from 1-90, the only really useful settings are 90-70 for drip and 8-1 for expresso. Pros, it looks relatively aesthetic. Grind settings seem somewhat repeatable. ... show more

  • CF64V Grinder
Note: The unit I received had a defect — the bottom surface was bent, causing it to wobble. This seems to be a one-off issue rather than a general flaw, so it’s not part of the objective product review below. Pros: - Adjustable grinding speed. - Clickless dial allows for fine and precise grind adjustments. - Produces a pleasant coffee aroma. - Wide grind range, suitable for both espresso and pour-over. - Operates quietly with minimal grinding noise. Cons: - The burrs make a noticeable metal-on-metal grinding sound, which may indicate a design flaw and could become a serious issue over time. - Cleaning is inconvenient — requires unscrewing bolts to access internal parts. - Does not have an automatic shut-off feature. - The grind container is quite small (appears to be 54mm), which doesn’t fit a 58mm portafilter. ... show more

  • Worth the money
I love it. It grinds fast, and holds it's position. My espresso tastes great. The burrs are pretty accessible so it's easy to clean. Aesthetics aside, this is a great espresso grinder.

  • A Solid Grinder That Makes Your Espresso Shine
I’ve been using the CF64V for a few weeks now, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade to my coffee setup. It’s solidly built, looks clean and modern on the counter, and most importantly - it performs exceptionally well. One of the best features is the variable-speed motor with a digital RPM display. You can adjust the grind speed between 800 and 1800 RPM and see the exact number on the screen, which makes it super easy to repeat settings or experiment with different speeds. The adjustment dial is precise and smooth, so it feels like a premium tool. Grind quality is top-notch - fluffy, consistent, and with almost no clumping. The plasma generator really helps reduce static, and the vertical burr design plus bellows keep grind retention extremely low. It’s great for single dosing, and switching between beans or brew methods is quick and clean. Everything feels thoughtfully designed - from the magnetic dosing cup to the easy access for cleaning. It’s clearly made for people who care about great coffee. Final thoughts: If you’re into espresso or want more control over your grind, the CF64V is a reliable, well-designed grinder with pro-level features. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Excellent for pour overs
Excellent grinder. I do pour-overs only, so I need a medium/course grind. I never thought I would spend this much on a grinder but after coming from an Oxo burr grinder (which wasn't bad), this is definately worth it. I was considering the df64v, but it has a 300 watt motor and this is 400 watt. I'm glad I went with this, because it will stall at lower RPM's. Even with hot start (running it before pouring the beans in). Very low retention (not zero for sure, but close). Well built and much quieter than my previous burr grinder. ... show more
