Such a great grinder! She's got curb appeal and the moxy to back it up. I got it for coffee and herbs but I recently started making my own dog and plant food and it turns chicken eggs and bones to dust easily which is very impressive. My only gripe is not getting the version with 2 cups so I could keep the bones and eggs away from my coffee. 10/10 would recommend and buy again.

When this does work it's fine but most the time it doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's an electical short in the grinder or just bad wiring but when I plug this in and try to use it it won't even turn on. Usually it takes plugging and unplugging several times to get it to finally turn on.

having purchased the Shardor coffee bean grinder in february of this year i have used it daily for my morning cup of coffee, until this thanksgiving morning when it feebly tried to grind the morning beans, unsuccessfully. i contacted [email protected] & within hours i received a response asking the particulars of my issue. our correspondence over the course of three days, led to the resolution of my issue & i received a new grinder today. thank you martine. i found the Shardor grinder quieter than two competitor's grinders i've had. the removable grinding chamber allows me to bring the grounds over to my chemex & the depth of the chamber allows more beans than previous grinders, which i appreciate. the timing knob is icing on the cake.

Did a great job of keeping things contained within the lid and texture was pretty consistent. Ultimately the lock mechanism failed to a point where I can apply the lid, but it wouldn’t start without removing it, pulling out the bin, inserting again and putting the lid back on… sometimes a few times before it would recognize the lid was there and start. This was gradual after about 6 months and finally gave up the ghost today after about 15 months since my purchase. The price point is still good, so I’ll probably buy another and now I have an extra bin I can JUST use for coffee and the other for spices, which it also did a great job with.

My first test grind was with whole coffee beans. I set the time for 20 seconds (the 2/3 position), and it ground the coffee almost to expresso powder. For my needs, I'll need to dial in the correct number of seconds for the grind I want, but as a grinder this works great. Possibly more impressive was how quiet it was. My previous experience has been with Krups and Magic Bullet. Both grind coffee really well, but they are very noisy. This grinder was probably half as noisy. The quality appears very good. The plastic cup is substantial and fits well. The grinding cup with the blade is stainless steel, very substantial and locks in place with ease. Right now there is nothing I don't like about this grinder.

Worked well for about 6 months. Then the lid would no longer trigger the safety mechanism, and it would generally not grind. If I took the lid off and back on sometimes that would fix it. At this point it takes a dozen attempts to get it to finally connect. Disappointing to, because the grinder was pretty quiet, which I really appreciated.
