This company seems to stand by its mandate to provide customers with quality products. After my previous feedback (below), they reached out to me immediately to replace the defective reel, as the one I received was not consistent with the others they produce. Integrity is everything, particularly if priority 1 is to meet customer satisfaction. PREVIOUS REVIEW: So after This remains one of the smoothest reels I have had in hand. Really smooth action. Unfortunately, I have lost fish, line and patience with this reel. 15lb monofilament tangled on nearly every cast so the first thought was that the reel was over-spooled. Went with far less line, the same result. A friend of mine who has been fishing for years suggested that I look at the anti-reverse switch and sure enough, after cutting away much of the tangled line (pics attached) I noticed that no matter the direction the switch was in the reel kept running and then locked the action in one direction when it darn well pleased. This was also true with all the line gone.My next option would have been to reduce the line to 12 lbs but at this point, that is unecessary.

It's too hot to go fishing these days. The weather was fine today, just in time to try my new spinning reel. It feels good that the fishing reel is very light and the workmanship is very meticulous. I bought a blue RV fishing reel that just happened to fit my blue fishing rod. Fishing reels do not require a lot of effort to work. The price is also moderate.

It is fancy enough for a beginner. I used to buy combos and this is the first fishing reel. It feels smooth in hand and the metal part makes it feel just heavy enough. And I guess the extra part is for replace in the future.

I bought this specifically for the shallow spool, to use ultralight finesse fishing. It's the only one I've found at an affordable price. I'm big on budget gear and don't mind taking a chance on a brand I've never heard of before. If I don't like it or if it doesn't work right, well I can just return it. I've paired it with an Okuma Celilo 6'6" ultralight, and spooled with 6lb mono. I was a bit worried that at a size 2000 it would be bigger than I wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it's a rather small reel. It's actually smaller than my KastKing Royal Legend II 1000, even though it's listed as a size up. I'm probably going to end up buying a 3000 size as well. The reel came in today and I immediately spooled it up and hit the lake. I threw Ned rigs on it, normal sized and the new Z-man micro TRDs, and managed to catch several fish, the first being a channel cat. The reel held up very well. The drag is nice and smooth, and I had no issues landing any fish. I like how snappy the bail is when opening and closing it. The reel also casts very well. This brings up why I got it for ultralight use. Normally I'd use a 500 or 1000 size reel, but a larger diameter spool makes casting better, line leaves a larger spool easier than a smaller one. But I also didn't want to spool it with miles of lower weight line, hence looking for a shallow spool reel. I do have a few very minor complaints. Very minor. The first is, I wish the shallow spool had been stylized like the regular spool. The plain aluminum looks fine, but I really like the teal accents on the other spool. And I *really* wish it didn't say SPARE SPOOL on it. It isn't so much a "spare" spool as it is a different spool for different uses. Secondly, the reel spools line ever so slightly biased towards the bottom, giving a slight cone shape. This is very slight, and doesn't affect the reel in any way. (After looking at the product images again, it seems the "SPARE SPOOL" may actually have a slight taper to it. I didn't notice that in person, but I wasn't looking for it either.) It's a very nice budget reel. I look forward to getting another one, I already know which of my currently owned reels are getting replaced with these.

Reel seems pretty solid and has nice look. Dig that it comes with 2 spools as someone else mentioned wish it didn't say spare spoon on shallow spool. 2 complaints anti-reverse does not work as it should if you are reel forward then go opposite direction reel has to catch up before it locks. Also drag knob seems a little fragile. That all being said it's a 20 dollar reel with 2 spools we'll see how holds up over time.
