Best scratching post for large cats
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
Review Image by patienceltd patienceltd
I didn't realize our tiny Siamese-mix kitten was going to grow into a 15-lb., 28" long (not counting tail, and still growing) cat. Most standard scratching posts top out at about 30". We realized this wasn't going to be enough to let the big guy stretch properly when he started going after the backs of the 35" high counter-height dining chairs and sofa. This scratching post has been the salvation of our furniture. Not only is it tall enough, this heavy-duty post is sturdy enough that the heavy-duty cat can get a running start and go for a good climb. Both of our cats seem to enjoy using it daily, and the rope isn't showing noticable wear yet. Assembly was very simple, with only four parts to screw together, no special tools required. The base is just large enough to give it decent stability. I can see the post rock a little when the cat is particularly aggressive, but it won't overturn and the cat certainly isn't deterred from climbing to the top. As cat furniture goes, it's about averagely attractive - I could wish for more colors or darker rope, but this is the only post I could find that was both long enough and reasonably priced, short of investing in the equipment to make my own. ... show more

This post is the best
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
This scratching post is large; no doubt about it. Not for a small space. It is sturdy and made to last. My cats climb on top and sit that is how big it is. I love it. Can't beat the quality for the money. Highly recommend it.

Kitty's Delight: Purr-fect Paradise in a Cat Condo!
Style: Scout Woven Rattan/Script Color: Woven Rattan/Script
I've been on the hunt for the perfect cat condo for my two adult kitties for quite some time, and I can happily say that I've finally found it! This cat condo is everything it's described to be and more. First and foremost, the construction is of top-notch quality. It's incredibly sturdy and stands up to all the energetic antics of my kitties. Assembly was a breeze, which was a huge relief for someone like me who isn't particularly handy. What truly delights me is how much my cats love this condo. They love lounging on both the top and bottom perches, and the dome is their favorite spot for a cozy hideout. The dangling ball is a hit, providing endless entertainment as they bat it around. One of my initial concerns when researching cat condos was size, but this model is just perfect for my adult cats. It's not too small, ensuring they have ample space to move around and play without feeling cramped. Unlike some flimsy models I came across online, this condo is built to last. In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this cat condo for fellow cat owners with adult feline companions. It's the epitome of Kitty's Delight, providing a safe and enjoyable space for your beloved pets. My cats and I couldn't be happier!" ... show more

Sturdy
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
I've had this scratcher since 2018 now and it's still going! Has gone through 3 fat cats who looooove to scratch. It's been fraying a bit and the carpet on top is worn but I wouldn't expect anything else being a few years old now. Honestly the best scratcher I've ever purchased.

Immediate hit!
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
Love the size, easy assembly, and the cats love it. Allows full range of stretch and scratch, climbable, sturdy but still easy to move around. My 7yo and 6mo cats both adore it.

Great product, really lasts!
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
Bought this in 2016 for my two cats. Well used all this time. I'm just now about to replace the rope which is now sagging. Very stable and durable. My cats love to scratch it, climb it, sit on top. It's a great item. Definitely recommend!

Treat your cat like king of the jungle that he is
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
My cat loves this scratching post. So much so, that he wore out the first one he received as a gift. When I say wore out…the product is great but the sisal is going to begin to shed as much as your cat after five years of use. He prefers this post to any of the furniture in the house and it only took a few weeks to convince him of its superiority over the couch. Very sturdy as well! Your feline owner will love it if you buy him one. ... show more

Great Scratch Post!
Style: Forte Cat Scratching Post, Brown/Tan Color: Brown/Tan Fur
I am apparently not able to measure properly because I thought the item was much smaller. However, it is fantastic! My cat is a large cat and this is perfect for him.
