I bought this a few years ago and it has been a game changer! We used to pile newspaper, cardboard even junk mail under the wood to get the fire going. Now we don’t even think about it. We just turn on the valve and use a propane torch to light the fire started bar. Nothing happens to the bar. It did recently started shooting flame from the end, not sure what to do. It still works.
