I ordered 2 of the 42" gray kennel covers in used - very good condition for my MidWest Homes Ovation 2 door 42" kennels. Cons: - they both arrived shredded around the bottom (like a dog had chewed it) - the velcro did not line up well leaving noticeable bulging gaps at all 4 corners - there was no way to secure it to the bottom of the kennel to keep it down or tight Pros: - the color, design and material were very attractive looking Overall, even if these had not been damaged, I would have returned them based on the fit and lack of attachment points. This is the third item in a row and third time Amazon has done this. It’s also the third time they’ve refused to refund my money, the third time they’ve refused to send and immediate replacement. And the third time they’ve threatened to keep my money for the 42 INCH product—in this case the cover—for the 36” cover. The other products being $40 times TWO for $10 (times 2) dog beds. Which I of course sent copious photos proving that yes they did send 18” dog beds in place of 42” ones. In order to get this review approved (they do so love to mark negative reviews as offensive), this product is horrible. It does not fit. It does not refold. My dog is very displeased as am I. It does not do what it is advertised as doing, which is to fully and securely cover a 42 INCH kennel. ... show more

    • I think my dog actually likes it too
I wanted a cover to sort of camouflage the fact that a kennel is in my living room. I was also tired of my dog barking at people coming to the house to work on it. So I thought I would give this a try. Extremely easy to put on and when needed I pull the front down to complete close my dog in (this doesn’t happen often). What I didn’t expect was that my dog, who hated the kennel before would go in the kennel on her own and hang out in there, door wide open, no prompting, just napping and hanging out. I was amazed. She doesn’t do it all the time, but now I feel more comfortable putting her in her kennel when needed. If she’s in there a still barking, I put the front down and she’ll quiet down. ... show more

Ordered the grey pattern & very pleased with it - I have the 42" double door crate. I wanted a cover that I could open on all four sides, and a material that wasn't too thick/heavy and might impede airflow. This is a nice, lightweight material with velcro patches around all four panels, so each side can be opened or closed as needed. I did not need (or want) something that kept all light out, I just needed to be able to provide a couple of privacy "walls" for a dog with food guarding issues. This works perfectly for me, but if you want to keep light out, this is not completely kennel darkening.     • Fits a 42" crate perfectly
I have a standard 42" crate measuring 42"L x 28"W x 30"H, and this cover fits perfectly over and around the crate on all sides. Assembly took a couple minutes max, and the velcro in the corners does a good job of securing the cover so it doesn't slide around or slip off. I personally leave the front panel rolled up on top, and would only use it if my dog was overstimulated, so the option to cover the front panel as well as the sides and back is nice to have. My dog has been taking more naps inside his kennel recently, so I think he approves. ... show more

This is a nice basic crate cover. It’s easier on the eyes than most. Trust me I looked for a “cute” crate cover & this was literally all I found LOL. I took off a star because I got the size for my crate but the door flap at the front doesn’t Velcro closed. It’s close but not flush, my dog can still see out. Luckily we rarely ever put the door flap down but when we do want to, it doesn’t completely close up & cover. ... show more

    • Not waterproof, but super cute
While this product is cute, breathable and easy to put on, I must note IT IS NOT WATERPROOF. That was my mistake. I unfortunately, due to the storms this spring, I now have to rethink things. have since ordered a true waterproof cover I will use beneath it and a new waterproof bed to go inside of the crate.
