This cover is almost perfect! I really like the zippers that make it easy to say goodnight or happy napping! The toggle attachments work very well also. I just run the vacuum's upholstery brush over it and it's clean - easy peasy! And, it was easy to put on the crate and fit the crate perfectly except that I wish it were just a couple of inches longer so that light could not get through the bottom at all. I bought this for the kennel that I left a review on, my big dog didn’t tear it up but since I put my little dog in the kennel with this cover, she has destroyed it pretty much so that is why certain things have certain ratings but it’s definitely waterproof from what I know. If you have a dog who doesn’t chew on things or destroy stuff, then I recommend but if you have a dog that does those things then I don’t recommend. That’s why it’s a hit and miss. ... show more

The canvas is thick, durable, and product seems to be well made. Per review, I don't think anything is "chew proof". I didn't think it would be this thick and well made. Unfortunately this is the second that my Malinois has chewed through. However I am actively testing out it's insulation capabilities and it's looking promising with the zipped up crate (note: crate is also elevated with gym foam and lined with blankets) currently 6 degrees warmer than outside of the crate and still rising after about 20 minutes.
