I was waiting to have this mounted outside in the chicken coop because I ordered it for the outdoor pets, but today I heard faint newborn birds chirping and realized this heater has a new purpose first - to warm the room where the newborn birds are without warming the entire house. Our parakeets have hatched newborn baby chicks inside their Palm tree pot, and this Midollarie heater came in very handy to warm the 35 sq/ft room where the newborn chicks are. With this safe multifunctional pet heater, I can warm just where the pets need additional warmth. This heater can be used for a wide variety of pet needs because I never thought when ordering it that I would be using it to warm an inside room for newborn chicks. Very nice! I'm grateful for this product. This pet heater, in a short time, has increased this room's temperature from 68 degrees to 71. And it's now 78 degrees immediately where the newborn birds are. Midollarie made a heater that makes our pets more safe and comfortable. For that I am grateful. This is a great quality product, and I highly recommend it. Thanks, Amazon. Oh, I almost forgot. I included a video so you can see and hear this quiet heater. If you listen carefully you can also hear the faint newborn chicks chirping for food, lol. They are inside the potted plant you see. This is a very well made heater, and functions without flaws, but It's really not for a dog house as described, unless you built your dog a 10x10 shed to stay in. It overheats the dog house sending the dog back out into the cold to cool off, then back to the dog house to warm up, then back out... the dog just keeps going in and out and eventually chose to be cold instead of burning up in the dog house with this heater. If your dog has a larger area than a dog house, this is great.
