From a function perspective, my family is very happy. It's suction power is top tier. It fit the cabinet opening, which is 30inches wide - perfectly. Note I have no cabinet wall behind my hood, keep this in mind as the vent pipe needs to sit against the back wall. Otherwise the front corners will stick out (which isn't a huge deal if you can live with that either). Everything you need to replace an old worn out hood is included. Review the dimensions pic to make sure your space will fit this hood. The LED lights are bright, and the gesture controls are definitely unique! Takes a bit of getting used to but once we did we love it.

The Midea MVT30W9AST Range 30 Inch 450CFM Vent T Shape Stove Hood is a great addition to any kitchen. The 450 CFM venting system is powerful and effective at removing smoke, odors, and grease from the air making cooking a more enjoyable experience. The 5-layer aluminum permanent filter is easy to clean and maintain allowing for a healthier airflow. The T shape design is sleek and modern, yet it does not take up too much space in the kitchen. The LED lights are a lovely feature, as they provide ample illumination over the stove and it makes the entire kitchen look brighter. The controls are easy to use and respond well to touch. Install was fairly simple. Overall the hood works well. The motion activation is cool but I could do without it at a cheaper price point. After install and looking at it, it's very utilitarian looking with the shaft exposed. Just the way the hood itself transitions into the shaft. I'm now thinking of hiding the shaft but I am going ductless so I'm not sure how that will work out.

This review is for, "Midea MVT30W9AST Range 30 Inch 450CFM Vent T Shape Stove Hood" This vent hood is wonderfully styled and very well made. I like the dual lamps; I'd forgotten to make sure it had lights and was very happily surprised. The filter is easily replaceable and the airflow is enough to pull the steam from three boiling pots (I did not try four as there was a sauce simmering). Likewise, smoke and odiferous foods are easily contained and exhausted. I'm really satisfied with the performance. The hood itself was easy enough to install and if we'd had a typical location with pre-existing pipe above the stove, this would have fit perfectly. Our installer had to get creative because of our oddly designed house but the hood made that as easy as possible. The construction and materials are good. I'm surprised how much I'm liking the touchless controls, they're wonderful!

This hood is really amazing. It's powerful, sharp looking and the touchless features are innovative and useful. We really think it's nicest hood we've ever seen. It wasn't hard to swap out for our old hood, but sizing was similar, so that probably helped. This is a T-Shape, which may not be for everybody, as you need someplace for the pipe stem to go., You can set it up to be self-venting if you don't have ducts for it to vent through though. I would completely suggest this vent to anyone considering one. It truly is the nicest we've ever seen. I love being able to control it without touching my dirty hands from cooking to the stainless steel. So convenient. Really cool stuff. So glad to have it. I can't rave about it enough.

While the product looks great, this is a no go for under cabinet install even though such an install is pictured. Unless your cabinets are totally false (just doors). This unit has a large chimney which is flush with the rear surface, meaning you would have to cut out the back of your cabinet to install it flush to the wall. No one would seriously consider that route especially with so many alternatives on the market. The simple solution would have been for the covering and the actual chimney to be separate pieces (as the extension is). Ah well.

wife loves it, design looks amazing cool features are what makes it clear for purchase and does work well installation is a bit of a headache, try to get a professional as doing yourself will take forever testing it for a couple of days and so far, it's working excellent

Just received this vent hood and while have not installed yet, it looks like it will only require minor adjustment to fit our space. Great appearance for the money in comparison to other similar products. The ductless function is a great feature for our need and it includes a heavy duty filter. The LED lights are an awesome feature! Can't wait to get it installed and start using it!
