The media could not be loaded. This dishwasher changed everything about my kitchen. No longer do dirty dishes mount up in the sink. No longer do I dread doing dishes. No longer do I avoid cooking so I won't have dishes to wash. I detest washing dishes by hand for the amount of water it uses, since I have plumbing issues (slow drainage) in my old basement apartment. But mostly I hate the amount of time it used to take, which is time I could be spending working on my growing business. There aren't enough hours in a day as it is. Washing dishes is the last way I want to spend even a minute extra. No more! I had purchased an RCA of this same style, which arrived dented, horribly packaged, with a broken utensil holder, didn't heat and had an error code after each wash. Returned it and got this Midea. The packaging was impeccable! So much thick styrofoam, nothing inside had budged, you could tell. Even though Amazon delivery threw it down into my basement stairwell, it was perfect inside. Surprised that it holds a lot! At the end of the cycle, I see wash water expelled into my sink with STEAM! And when I open the door after the hottest wash, it's so hot. Love it! The dishes are spotless and glass is crystal clear. Setup was a joke, like too easy. Connect hoses by turning only, twist on the faucet adapter, snap on the drain and intake hose, start her up. No tools, no plumbers tape and no leaks. Be prepared for the forceful ejection of water into the sink intermittently while this thing is running. It's loud and scary until you get used to it. My dogs freaked out every time, but now they're good. I've enjoyed this dishwasher for about a week, and have run about 5 loads. I am so mad at myself for not getting this two years ago when I moved into this apt. without a dishwasher. If you're on the fence, go for it. ... show more

    • Worked for about a month, now wont fill with water
I bought this mid November and it worked great the 15-20 times I used it with no issues. Dishes were nice and clean (even cleaned some heavier soiled stuff that I thought it might have troubles with). But then today (December 4th) I went to start a load of dishes and after about a minute it started beeping with "E1" on the screen. E1 = Longer inlet time Possible Causes: Facets is not opened, or water intake is restricted, or water pressure is too low. I have had it sitting in the same spot since I got it and the hoses have no kinks/pinches. It is hooked up the same way it has always been hooked up to my faucet and the water pressure hasn't changed in my home. I even took the hose off and check the inlet and it is perfectly clean and water flows just fine through the hose. I think the valve that controls the water going into the dishwasher is faulty/stuck. I requested a replacement and will see if that one has the same issues after a short amount of time. I love Midea products and have one of their higher end portable air conditioners (2 years old) and higher end dehumidifiers (6 months) that have worked flawless. If the replacement one lasts for more than 2 years (my old SPT countertop dishwasher still worked when I gave it to my niece and I had it for 6 years before that), I'll come back and update my overall rating to 4 stars instead of 1.     • Portable Dishwasher
This arrives in really large box, very well wrapped. The bottom is not attached. This is so that the top portion of the box can be lifted off. If you are aware of this it will unwrapping easier. The washer itself is considerably larger than I expected. It is quite tall and fills the counter space, totally obscuring wall switches and plug in areas, which I had not expected. The washer itself requires very little assembly and is ready to go quickly. The book that comes with it is easy to follow. When attaching the hose make sure that water is already hot before attachment by running the water until it is hot. I found that the dishes come out cleaner this way and that the soap packet opens (it did not open properly otherwise). I was surprised at how quiet this runs. One big issue involves the hoses. There is no pocket area for storage when not in use. And there is nothing in the pamphlet regarding what to do with them. I assume that I will have roll it up somehow and sort of hide it behind the dishwasher. The washer does an adequate job of washing and though it supposedly will hold a twelve piece setting I would never try to put that much into an area this size. Because this is a “portable” it will not hold my standard fiestaware plates unless I lean them over which takes more space. Larger items such as a cookie sheet will not fit into this so of course occasional hand washing will still be required from time to time. My second complaint with this is that it just takes too much space, actually about 50% of my counter space and as I stated previously obscures wall switches and plugs. Also according to instructions this should be unplugged when not in use which means that I will need to twist the entire appliance on the counter to reach the wall plug. I am considering putting this on some sort of rolling table which sounds an awful lot like the old portables. I was expecting something that could be permanently left on the counter. And I don’t think this will work out that way. So be sure to measure and be aware of what this will and will not do. UPDATE 5/2/2024 I have learned to enjoy the dishwasher. I never have to look at dirty dishes in my sink and by running it about once a day I rarely need to wash dishes myself. I still can’t reach the light switch behind the dishwasher but by adding a “light switch extender” I can easily turn the light on and off. When not in use I fold up the hose which fits into the space behind the dishwasher. And by adding an appliance surge protector I am able to unplug the dishwasher as per instructions. I still have almost no counter space but I do have a large kitchen table which I use for food preparation. And by rearranging my kitchen it is a little better. Definitely worth it. ... show more
