Wow, to be honest, I was a little worry to get refurbishing an "old" mac ( 2015) ... I know this specific model is the best apple ever made, the ratio between what you get to the price 500-650$ is great! ) This specific model comes with a 500SSD which makes it run super smoothly, it has a rare and strong graphic card (Radeon ) with 2GB ram, which makes a huge difference compared to the normal intel graphic cards apple used in the same years. This graphic card is at least 3X in performance, picture quality, strength, and brightness. The re-furbish team did an excellent job! the computer looks brand new, so clean and smooth, and feels like it was handled with great care! I love the silver-gray cover they put on the area where your hands are sitting while typing, as well on the tracking pad. I was sure it was going to suck but it actually feels amazing texture-wise and the tracking pad ability is much higher than without this silver cover! Anyhow, I'm very happy! the computer runs perfectly, feels great, and performs, I didn't have to break my pocket with a 2000$ MacBook as I'm not a super heavy user. I still use some graphic programs like photoshop, illustrator, and SketchUp. they all run perfectly. I rate this 5starts as the value you get is supreme. If you are not an extremely heavy user you'll enjoy it a lot ! and it's still a pretty damm good and solid one. (don't think it's a weak laptop! it's not..) last but not least you are helping save our planet by reusing what is still great and not over - buying new hardware every year. ... show more

The thing I was mostly worried about: the battery. When I first opened it, there was a "service battery" warning, cycle count was 711 and the percentages were haywire. However, after leaving it charging overnight it went away. I spent a full day playing with it to test the battery and, whilst it holds a charge, it drains a little bit fast without forcing it too much, as a result of its age. So I decided to go for a battery replacement anyway to enjoy it even further, because my unit is really in a pristine condition. Only very few and unnoticeable scratches. Went to Apple for diagnostics, and even the technician was surprised how good the condition was (exterior and interior): everything was working properly. They told me the battery wasn't needing a replacement yet but it was getting there and would be needing it soon. Nonetheless it would be good while the replacement comes, so I was perfectly fine with it! Another thing that I considered important to note is that the charger that comes is only 45W and, while Amazon clearly states that it won't be original (although I think the one that came is), this system needs a 85W one to charge properly. I also just bought another one for peace of mind, but it is an extra cost you should keep in mind (80 bucks). Still, in my opinion, the total cost is very well worth it. If you are still not sure about getting this system, I would say go for it. This specific model is possibly the best Apple made (with the R9 M370X graphics) and still has the SDXC and HDMI ports, a gorgeous Retina display, scissor keyboard and Force Touch trackpad, all for 600 bucks. It won't be an M1, but it runs perfectly (I bought it for Lightroom) and it will cost you almost four times less than the newer Macs with all these ports! Upon initial unboxing i was quite impressed, the machine looked identical to new; completely flawless. The only sign of prior use was the slight outline of all the keys on the keyboard which always happens once peoples finger oils get all over the keys. So then i set out to clone my old ssd over by booting it as an external and using CCC to make a clone. Shortly after formating the internal drive and starting the cling process i went to about this mac, and much to my dismay the specs listed were anything but the specs advertised. The product advertised was a mid 2015 MBP with 16gb of ram 512gb ssd and AMD Radeon R9 m370x (2gb gddr5).(MBP 11,5) The product that came is a mid >2014< mbp with 16gb of ram, 512 gb ssd and no discreet graphics card what so ever. (MBP 11,3) Im very disappointed that the item did not match the description, i bought this computer to replace my prior machine that had identical specs to the item advertised which was stolen recently. unfortunately the item i received was q substantial down grade for me, which is really quite sad considering that i bought my last MBP in 2019 off of craigslist for $600 only $5 more than what i paid for this 1 year older and 1 step down model about 2.7 years later. :( ... show more

My MacBook Pro was in better than expected condition, any cosmetic issues were minor, the keyboard and top case looked brand new, screen was unmatched and rubber seal around screen was brand new. For price I paid, it was an excellent experience.

Incorrectly rated charger supplied - want to return the charger only for partial refund. This is heads up about the third party MagSafe2 chager that is shipped with these units. Mid 2015 MBP A1398 ordered and received. Very clean for the age. Oversall satisfied. Problem is third party charger (did not expect to get an Apple charger) supplied is rated at 60W. The 15" 2015 MBP is supplied with 85W charger. Seller replied that is the version they include and will work fine. Going back and forth with them about this. You should not use a 60W charger for 85W battery - charger will heat up, probably resulting in reduced life or potentially damage the MagSafe2 DC-in board. Do not intend to use this very lighweight and questionable charger since I already have an Apple 85W MagSafe2 charger. Again, satisfied with the MBP. Seller is responding via Amazon email but so far same answer - basically that it's fine, that's what they include with the 2015 15" MBP... ... show more
