If you're OK with possibly changing the battery and can solve potential speaker issues, this refurbished MacBook could be a great bargain, especially if you're looking for a high-performing laptop at a reduced price. However, be aware of the charger issue and consider purchasing an appropriate one.

The thing I was mostly worried about: the battery. When I first opened it, there was a "service battery" warning, cycle count was 711 and the percentages were haywire. However, after leaving it charging overnight it went away. I spent a full day playing with it to test the battery and, whilst it holds a charge, it drains a little bit fast without forcing it too much, as a result of its age. So I decided to go for a battery replacement anyway to enjoy it even further, because my unit is really in a pristine condition. Only very few and unnoticeable scratches. Went to Apple for diagnostics, and even the technician was surprised how good the condition was (exterior and interior): everything was working properly. They told me the battery wasn't needing a replacement yet but it was getting there and would be needing it soon. Nonetheless it would be good while the replacement comes, so I was perfectly fine with it! Another thing that I considered important to note is that the charger that comes is only 45W and, while Amazon clearly states that it won't be original (although I think the one that came is), this system needs a 85W one to charge properly. I also just bought another one for peace of mind, but it is an extra cost you should keep in mind (80 bucks). Still, in my opinion, the total cost is very well worth it. If you are still not sure about getting this system, I would say go for it. This specific model is possibly the best Apple made (with the R9 M370X graphics) and still has the SDXC and HDMI ports, a gorgeous Retina display, scissor keyboard and Force Touch trackpad, all for 600 bucks. It won't be an M1, but it runs perfectly (I bought it for Lightroom) and it will cost you almost four times less than the newer Macs with all these ports! I'm definitely keeping it for at least another 4 years. ... show more

Wow, to be honest, I was a little worry to get refurbishing an "old" mac ( 2015) ... I know this specific model is the best apple ever made, the ratio between what you get to the price 500-650$ is great! ) This specific model comes with a 500SSD which makes it run super smoothly, it has a rare and strong graphic card (Radeon ) with 2GB ram, which makes a huge difference compared to the normal intel graphic cards apple used in the same years. This graphic card is at least 3X in performance, picture quality, strength, and brightness. The re-furbish team did an excellent job! the computer looks brand new, so clean and smooth, and feels like it was handled with great care! I love the silver-gray cover they put on the area where your hands are sitting while typing, as well on the tracking pad. I was sure it was going to suck but it actually feels amazing texture-wise and the tracking pad ability is much higher than without this silver cover! Anyhow, I'm very happy! the computer runs perfectly, feels great, and performs, I didn't have to break my pocket with a 2000$ MacBook as I'm not a super heavy user. I still use some graphic programs like photoshop, illustrator, and SketchUp. they all run perfectly. I rate this 5starts as the value you get is supreme. If you are not an extremely heavy user you'll enjoy it a lot ! and it's still a pretty damm good and solid one. (don't think it's a weak laptop! it's not..) last but not least you are helping save our planet by reusing what is still great and not over - buying new hardware every year. ... show more

My MacBook Pro was in better than expected condition, any cosmetic issues were minor, the keyboard and top case looked brand new, screen was unmatched and rubber seal around screen was brand new. For price I paid, it was an excellent experience.

The Apple Mac Book Pro retina display 15.4 inches that I purchased from this seller is a complete dud. The sound cards or however the sound comes through the speakers is scratchy and audio can not be understood so I purchased a Beats Pill to compensate for the issue because I need to computer - I have photos and videos of my deceased mother that are very important to me stored, all of my important documents, photos and financial information. I back up regularly or at least I hope thats being done so it's in the cloud but that doesn't matter if I don't have a reliable computer. The video/screen goes out whenever it wants and comes back on whenever it wants to wake up. Out the box, the battery needed to be replaced. First I want to say that this seller responds very quickly and seems to be a good company. What's unfortunate is that the twenty fifteen macbook pro cannot be upgraded to the newest OS system. So certain apps in the apple app store will not run on this computer. I was told that I at least needed to buy a 2017 MacBook in order to run the newest system. Unfortunately the few apps I needed weren't able to work on the 2015 model. ... show more

Bought this refurbished MacBook pro expecting scratches and dings but received a unit that is nearly in pristine condition! The only imperfections were a few pieces of missing black rubber along the display edges. The display itself has 2 hairline scratches that are barely visible. Other than that the unit looks almost brand new. Plus, battery has only 150 cycles!!! I'm super impressed at how well this computer handles all the tasks I throw at it. What a steal for this price!
