Loving this computer! What a great deal! But be WARNED! When I initially set up this computer many functions were inoperable: Settings, Microsoft Edge, Windows Defender, and Windows Update. These functions and more would either not open at all or would crash upon open. I spent 5 hours trying to solve this problem, and it was solved, but let me save you some time. Your computer needs to go through some updates, but I was unable to initiate them manually, while I was experiencing the above problems that had me very concerned I would need to return this item. If you have the above problems, just step back and let your computer sit idle for a while. Eventually automatic update should kick in and start downloading updates. Just restart the computer periodically and see if it is applying updates. After mine finally did (~4 hours after initial startup), I gained full functionality of Windows on this computer. ALSO, the pen sent with this product is does not have the 3-buttons that are on the official Microsoft pens. This means you lose the "end of pen" button that will automatically open a new OneNote. So if you want the official pen, you'll need to order it separately. This is still a great deal! Very happy with this purchase. Update 4/2019: My SP3 has ceased to work entirely after 5 months of ownership. It has not been damaged in any way, I simply went to turn it on one day after I had left it to charge and it would not turn on. These products are not under warranty by Microsoft any longer, so now I am either going to have to pay for repair/replacement or be out the investment not only in this device, but also in the nearly $100 surface pen I purchased. Cannot remember a computer giving out on my in just 5 months before....not planning to buy another Surface Pro. ... show more

We received the computer and tried to get it started. It would not complete the start-up program. We had to bring it to a computer place and pay $100 for them to wipe and reinstall the programs. After that was done the computer seems to be working ok. Still not a bad deal for the package. The pen and power supply are not "Microsoft" products. The keyboard is, but has given my daughter a few problems. I'd probably buy again.... ... show more

So far so good. The only issue you might have is that stores don't carry a lot of accessories for Surface Pros. However, it is very light, easy to use, and comes ready to go. If you have thicker hands, the keyboard may be too small.

Bought this for my husband for work, he loves it! Great computer for someone that needs something light and easy to take on the go. Battery life isn’t great but it isn’t awful, it’s an older version so we expected that. Otherwise 10/10!

    • It's a reminder of what not new means
Got tablet for my parents, when they received it, thing wouldn't go into windows. After a bit of adjustment, got it to go into windows, but everything was in Spanish! Eventually got the settings changed and now its English, but Windows 8.1, no tablet options!
