This laptop is *almost* perfect. The ONLY thing I dislike is the Alcantara material around the keyboard and trackpad. I haven't had this happen yet, but I've seen photos of more well used laptops having spots of wear, dirt, and sweat on the material. They sell products to cover the material, but I think it was just a bad design choice and a general oversight. The performance is exactly what you would expect for a laptop from this year and with these specs. It preforms office tasks and basic browsing with flying colors. I don't see this laptop doing well for anyone who runs more demanding programs like the adobe suite or blender for example. But for what you pay for, this laptop does beautifully. The screen quality is excellent, touch screen is responsive, laptop holds charge for quite some time and charges pretty dang fast. I absolutely LOVE how thin this thing is. I've owned many laptops in the past and this thing blows my previous MacBook Air out of the water on it's portability and weight. I, like so many other on here, had some reservations about going with a refurbished laptop. I decided to try this one out, as the dealer had a lot of surprisingly good reviews. I’m sure glad I did! The computer came in original box, and the machine itself looks brand new; no dings, scratches, or chips and it was clean as a whistle. The start-up was quick and streamlined and so far the item functions perfectly. Only drawback was that I thought the surface laptop 2 had a removable screen and it appears I was incorrect. That was a research error on my part however. Digital drawing programs still appear to work great and the surface pen operates flawlessly with this laptop. The computer is great. Graphics are good, touch screen is awesome, the keyboard is lit, but when I received my laptop the charger was broken then a week later the touch pad was jammed. I’m not an aggressive clicker so how it jammed is beyond me. But this review isn’t so much for the laptop cause it’s a great laptop but mainly for the company. They were so understanding when I contacted them and they gave me a full refund. They had great customer service. Again the computer is great. I just probably got that one bad one in the batch. I bought this in January. The laptop LOOKED GOOD BUT AFTER 2 weeks it stopped holding a charge. I was in the middle of a final, and it just wouldn't charge. Thats the problem…. These reviews aren’t updated…. Because at first i fell in love and made a good review but this laptop stopped working quickly. Please buy feom another site try Backmarket…. Or another place… amazon refurbishing has been letting me down. The seller to stay away from is (EPI-ELECTRONICS ( WE RECORD SERIAL NUMBERS ). When sent back they sent me half the total cost of the laptop. Claiming a “ restocking fee” . Their scammers , they send a damaged laptop, know you'll return it, and get half the cost. Then selling again to their next victim. amazon did not help. I had to get my bank involved ... show more

Ordered and this arrived within 4 days. Laptop is basically brand new so overall I'm impressed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is a very small tad bit of wear on the edge on the keyboard. No one would ever notice unless you tried hard to look at it. Spec's were as advertised (8GB RAM, 256 SSD, i5). Screen quality is amazing, Glossy and clean. Keyboard is in brand new condition. Great deal, I received it earlier than the shipping date and it's like brand new. I would never know that this has been refurbished. The device itself is great, not powerful enough for gaming so if that's what you're looking for , this isnt it. But for getting work done and web surfing as well as other functions this laptop is great for it. I bought it for college as a freshman and I am sure I wont regret it. ... show more

Bought the black version of the Surface Laptop 2 and was thoroughly impressed with the condition as being new. I ran a battery test after running the plethora of Windows updates and the battery was new! Sometimes with used or refurbs this is where things can slide a but not in this case. Definitely passed all Microsoft Certified Ref specs. Highly recommended. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend buying this way for a nice discount. ... show more
