The media could not be loaded. This Dual LED Microscope by Bogrinuo, is an interesting mix of quality, value and performance. With a very usable performance and many things to help you explore, this one is worth of your consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This is a tough one to explain accurately. The quality is much better then one of those kid ones you’d get at a big box store, but noticeable less quality then ones I have that are a hundred dollars more. It doesn’t feel cheap like anything going to break, just more plastic that looks and feels cheaper. One example are the magnifying eye pieces are plastic instead of metal. II. Performance – This is where it makes up the slack it left in the last category. I found most of the performance to be almost on par with much more expensive versions, at least when at the same magnification. IT has mostly the same tools like the wheels to move the slide around, and the double wheel to focus. However, the LED light for underneath the slide is not bright enough for some things I use it for. It will work fine for most things that this would get used for, but it should go too bright if you want it too. Overall, this is a great way for someone to get real performance at half the cost, all you have to do is be willing to sacrifice some quality. I think it would be a great choice for most people that are only going to use it sometimes and really wouldn’t even notice the quality difference. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. I ordered this for personal use and for entertaining when the kids come to visit. Right out of the box you can tell that this is no cheap kids' toy, it is very solidly constructed and heavy. It reminds me of the ones that we used to use in school so that is definitely a plus because the cheap ones just don't stand up. The magnification works well and lets you really pull in close and still have crisp detail and excellent viewing. There is a top and bottom light which is essential for viewing; the bottom one for the glass slides and the top one for when you are looking at more solid objects. It gives you a range of interchangeable lens options so that you can have more flexibility in choosing the magnification range for your specific needs. The one problem I have with it is the single most important reason that I wanted to get this model, the computer adapter. I do photography and wanted to add microphotography but as you can see from the photo I took, there is some sort of a string or something inside the adapter. This completely ruins any shot you want to take and there appears to be no way to get rid of it because its inside the sealed adapter. I reached out to the seller through Amazon, and they said they would work with me on a replacement but to this point I still haven't received one nor heard back from them since then. This is very frustrating and is the primary reason that I have dropped the stars from rating. At this price point everything should work perfectly and if it doesn't, they should make every effort to quickly and conveniently correct the problem for their customers. At this point I haven't used the microscope at all because this for me was the most important aspect and reason for ordering it so now it just sits in the case in the corner of the office. In all honesty, if you want a nice microscope that is well made - as long as everything works right - this will definitely not disappoint.

This was an upgrade from the last one we got. It can get even closer into the tiny world of single cell organisms and smaller! It is well made for the price. The optiocs look good as well. I have trouble getting it set to my big head. It is big enough just a bit hard for me to see well. Once you get used to the 2 eyepieces instead of one it gets much better. This is great educational tool for everyone. Get some pond water and put some on a slide. This microscope was clear and crisp on the camera phone with the holder they included. That I liked much more than staring into it. All in all this is a great piece and I highly suggest you try it!
