  • Works great for Antelope Edge Solo
Color: black
I just set it up, so I can't speak to the long-term quality. But it seems to be built well, and it works for this mic. It's hard to find anyone talking about which shock mounts work for this microphone so I thought I'd let everyone know.

  • Also works on Groove Tubes 5sm — Fits many Neumanns incl. U87 but not all (TLM 193 etc)
Color: black
I've been looking for a secure shock mount for my 20+ year old Groove Tubes 5sm microphones. This doesn't fit like the original but that's ok. The short 22mm adapter works and tightens right up. It's a tight fit but can get the mic cable on and off. In the pictures, that's the black collar. If you have the original screw collar as I do (silver in the picture), it's a little easier and there's more room for the cable end but, if that's lost, don't sweat it. One of the four adapter rings gets it done. Well built, not the heaviest out there but sturdy enough for most mics that it fits but . The long 25mm collar fits Neumann U67/87 and many clones including Slate ML-1 and United UT Twin87 but I wouldn't use this on my ML-1 Vintage, a much heavier microphone, even though it does fit. The long 22mm collar fits my MXL 990 and many similar mics. The short 22mm collar fits my Groove Tubes 5sm. There is also a 20mm collar but I don't know what those fit. It would be nice if there was also a short 25mm collar for the Neumann TLM 102, 103, 193 and others — but there isn't. Oh well. This includes an extra pair of bands and a 3/8 to 5/8 stand adapter. Great bang for the buck and I couldn't be happier — especially at this price. The bands are not as heavy as some others but the mics I’m using don’t have a problem with it. I'll be buying more of these. ... show more

  • Almost perfect for ST51
Color: black
I was having a hard time finding a decent shock mount for my new Sterling Audio ST51 (awesome mic, by the way) - the only model I was finding was the version directly from Sterling Audio and it was nearly double the price of this one at $40. I took the chance on this one and I received it today. I'm happy to report that one of the adapters fit the ST51 - albeit, a little rough on the threading. The only problem I hit was that the adapter was a little too deep for the mic, so even with the mic fully seated on the adapter, it still bounced around... rendering the shock mount effectively useless. This mount comes with a few extra felt pads that go on the adapter where it meets the bottom of the mic, so I simply stacked them all up to create a padded buffer between the mount and the microphone to close that gap. Worked great, no wobble. So, I'll give it 4 stars because it comes with several adapters to fit many mics, several felt pads, an extra bungee for when this one wears out, and overall feels super solid and heavy. The reason for knocking off a star is the rough threading (I think it's due to paint on the threads) on the adapters and a lack of any documentation on how to get those adapters into the mount. It doesn't take long to figure it out, but it did require a little bit of time and trial and error. I'll update if I find anything bad - but day one, all is well after that minor adjustment to fit my mic. At the end of the day, this mount saved me $20! ... show more

  • Excellent shock mount, but the supplied mounting rings might not fit your mic.
Color: silver
The upper section of the OEM shock mount of my 20-year-old Nady TCM-1050 bit the dust (several fused joints came apart) and could not be repaired, so I ordered the Boseen to replace it. Unfortunately none of the four mounting rings were compatible with this mic, and the OEM Nady mounting ring didn't quite work with the Boseen either. Fortunately I had anticipated this as a possible problem and hadn't yet tossed out the busted Nady shock mount. I was able to easily swap in the (unbroken, intact) lower section of the Nady shock mount, and I am now back in business. The parts from the two shock mounts are visually a good match. If you compare the two sections in the photo I've posted, you can see that the main Boseen mount is quite a bit thicker and robust-looking compared to the Nady mount. The articulation screw is also nice and beefy, which is important for me because this is a rather heavy mic. So far it is able to completely support the mic with no problem. The suspension strings are also quite thick and strong compared to what original came with the Nady mount, and Boseen generously provided a second backup set of strings, which is a nice touch. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this shock mount. ... show more

  • Works as well as my old Rode shock mount and costs less!
Color: black
If you are worried about a lesser known brand of shock mount have no fear, this one works just as well as my old Rode shock mount and cost about 25% less. I just installed this onto my Rode PSA1 mic arm and a Rode Procaster XLR mic and it worked great. My old Rode shock mount was a few years old and the elastic was stretched out so much the inner part of the shock mount would touch the outer part and transfer a lot of vibration noise to the mic. My only problem with the Rode Procaster is that it's long and heavy <insert "that's what she said" joke here>. Since it attaches at the base it creates a lot of weight/leverage for the other end. The Boseen shock mount supported the weight but I wanted to take some of that weight off the elastic to hopefully prolong it's lifespan some. I took one of the old worn out Rode elastic bands and wrapped it around the middle of the body of the microphone and then on top of that also looped it around the outer part of the shock mount. This took a lot of the weight off of the new elastic and better supports the microphone as well. ... show more
