abunda_amazon_reviews I spent a long time comparing dozens of different mic mounts available from Amazon, before settling on this one. I finally chose this mount because the basket and mount are made entirely of metal. I also appreciated the fact that it has a fairly long length of shock cord between the mount and the mic holder parts; longer cord equals better vibration damping. The set of several adapter screws was a nice feature, too; one of them fit my MXL V67 perfectly, holding the mic very tightly onto the base. The adjustment knob has good large easy-to-grip flanges, making it simple to get the adjustment very solidly set, so the mic doesn't droop. This is important because the basket and mic are moderately heavy, and it needs to stay locked in place. With this mount, tapping my foot or other minor vibrations on the wood floor finally have absolutely no effect on the mic; it's not even picked up at all through the stand. Best 3rd Party Shock mount I've purchased for a name-brand Microphone
I currently use the Rode Procaster, but have used many different styles, types, and brands of microphones (MXL, Shure, Audio Technica) in the past. This shock mount fits the Procaster perfectly and the 20mm adapter that comes in the packaging fits the threading perfectly. Initially from photos, I was worried about the build quality of the connecting bracket to the mic stand, but upon receiving it, I can tell you this seems overbuilt, and quite sturdy. This easily the nicest and most stable third party shock mount I've used. There may be better ones for a price, but this one is quite nice as is.

Works with the Blue Ember
This works quite well with the Blue Ember if you use the smallest retaining nut upside-down; which unfortunately limits your ability to comfortably rotate the microphone in the mount. Beyond that however, overall it is very well built! I love the all-metal construction, and I don't have any major complaints at this price point. (I do wish they had included a 1/4 inch adaptor, but luckily I was able to salvage one from my stash.) As a final note: Personally, I think the elastic is a tad too tight; but most shock mounts I've seen lately have that same issue, so I won't deduct a whole point for that. 4.5/5.0
