I looked at 6 different breaker bars before deciding on this one. It is the largest diameter with the most comfortable handle and even has knurling on the handle for a better grip. It is also truly 24 inches long and some others are a bit under 24". The socket head is the larger diameter design and may be a bit large for getting into some tight openings, but also bought a set of socket extensions that will allow me to get into any tight spaces. Overall, this bar is so rugged that you will have to be careful with particularly stubborn or frozen bolts. Something is going to give with this much force and you might want to have on safety glasses when using it. I'm very satisfied with this bar.

Reviewing this before even using it, so will update if needed when the rains end and I can get underneath my car. Not sure what reportedly broke unless maybe the head, or how much leverage was needed to bend the thing. This according to a couple reviews. The bar looks different than the online picture, where it appears rather thin. The actual bar is 3/4 inch thick and rigid beyond any damage I would be able to cause. The end adapter takes some force to get a socket on, but that's a good thing helping to secure the extensions. Only gave it 4 stars because of the missing detents as the head swivels. Would have been nice to have it semi lock into position like many others of the same type. Great value for the money (so far)

I wanted the capability to properly LOOSEN the lug nuts on my car after noticing mechanics using impact wrenches and driving...I was not able to loosen my lug nuts in case of emergency using standard tools and leverage. So I found this wrench and it was described as including that loosening capability and bought it. Note I also bought this deep impact socket to attach to it as my car has 17mm lug nuts - CRAFTSMAN Deep Impact Socket, Metric, 1/2-Inch Drive, 17mm (CMMT16078) . AFTER CAREFULLY READING THE INSTRUCTIONS - I found it effectively loosened the lug nuts on my car. FINALLY - note this item was bought and used for occasional home use - NOT professional use by a commercial mechanic.

I used this with a 1 7/16 socket to break the front axle nuts on a Jeep WJ. I had my full 250+lbs off the ground before the nut broke loose. The bar had no problems handling this much pressure.

I bought one of these for each of my son's cars. They are great for breaking lug nuts if changing a tire if need be. They can also be a very to tool in the event you need self protection. They are 24" long, not heavy and easy to handle if someone is in your space that you do not there.

Used to remove leaf spring bolts on Cherokee. Had to heat to 500 degrees to remove red loctite, this held up to remove the bolts ...rusted and torqued to 115 foot pounds, it did flex some as expected...but worked.
