This watch was my first real foray into "the oversized watch" look. I have a large-ish watch that I wear most days, but it has a white rubber band, so it tends to lean a little more casual. I wanted something that was bigger, but also dressy. This one kept coming up in my searches, and I liked that it had date and chronograph features, so I decided to go for it. It arrived today, and it's a very pretty and tasteful looking watch, but it is definitely big and heavy! I'm going to give it a few days to see if I feel like I can pull off the look personally, because at the moment I feel like I'm "wearing my dad's watch" as opposed to an oversized watch look on a lady, but it might just be that I'm not used to it yet, and either way, the watch is not at fault! We'll see how it goes! I'll probably keep it regardless, because it is a very nice watch and a bargain for the brand and features at this price point, and if I don't end up wearing it, some lucky future boyfriend might get a really nice watch for his birthday! ... show more

I read a ton of reviews before deciding to order this watch. In the end, I'm totally satisfied with my purchase. Let me address some of the concerns raised in the reviews. 1) Is this a men's watch or women's? I'm a 6'3", 200 lb male and this watch fits me perfectly. It has large face, a hefty bracket and substantial weight. It's certainly not dainty. This isn't to say that a woman may not choose to wear this item. But, it will be LARGE and need to have many links removed. To settle this argument - this is a man's watch. 2) Is the packaging sloppy? Not in my experience. It arrived nicely packaged in a genuine MK box, certainly suitable for gifting. 3) What color is the face, blue or purple? This watch has a blue face, royal blue to be exact. It is a rich and reflective color; one that in some light does go to purple. While some reviewers found this to be a bone of contention, I find it fascinating and enjoy the surprise from observing the color variants based on the lighting. MK could probably charge more for this item with its "color changing face." In summary, I am very glad I purchased this watch. It is elegant, substantial, well crafted. It definitely makes a statement. A very positive statement that reflects the wearer's good taste and sophistication. No regrets here! ... show more
