  • Fits the bill for me
A lot of the reviews mention all sorts of troubles, but I didn't experience any of that. The mount is really simple to adjust, I really like the style of the adjustment at the post with the long arm for loosening/tightening instead of needing a tool. I like it a little better than the rest of the knobs as it's a little bit easier, but the other knobs server the purpose as well. Comes with adapters for the mounting stud and was able to switch to a tripod mount easily. Every thing seems as heavy duty as an average monitor mount and can fit some of the same posts. Motion is good and covers a good chunk of my desk. It's serving my needs perfectly and the price was reasonable. Only complaint is I somehow randomly got some folders when I first ordered, but Amazon got that sorted out. ... show more

  • Great Mic Arm for upgrading my Blue Yeti setup
bought this mic arm for my Blue Yeti microphone, and overall I’m really happy with it. The main thing I wanted was something sturdy enough to hold the mic without slowly dropping or wobbling, and this stand does a great job with that. The build feels heavy-duty and solid, not cheap or flimsy at all. The clamp grips my desk really well, and once everything is tightened, the whole setup feels very stable. I also really like the extra height on this arm. It works great for an overhead setup and gives me more room on my desk. My monitor and keyboard don’t feel blocked, and I can move the mic into a comfortable position whether I’m recording, gaming, or just using it for calls. The adjustment knobs are simple and tool-free, which makes it easy to change the height and angle whenever I need to. Another big plus is the compatibility. It came with the adapters I needed, so setting it up with my Blue Yeti was pretty straightforward. It makes my desk look cleaner and more professional compared to having the mic sitting directly on the desk. A small con is that because it is sturdy and heavy-duty, it does take up a bit of space and you need to make sure your desk has enough room for the clamp. Also, the first setup took a few minutes to get the angle exactly how I wanted it, but after that it has been very easy to use. Overall, this is a really good mic arm if you want something strong, adjustable, and reliable. For the price, I think it’s a great upgrade for a Blue Yeti microphone setup. I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Not good for Rode NT-1 but good enough
The decent for what it does. It’s meant to hold a mic and it does it well. Is it the best? No, I’m sure there’s better arms out there. I currently use a Rode NT-1 and it’s a little heavy so I have to hold the mic up with zip ties. The arm doesn’t have a ton of range given the style of mic I have but I’m sure with a SHURE or equivalent, it’ll be better. It’s definitely squeaky but durable. Great value for what it’s meant to do. ... show more

  • Solid versatile boom arm
I'm really impressed with this mic boom arm. The adjustable height and the extension riser make it perfect for getting the microphone exactly where I need it, especially with a larger monitor setup. It feels sturdy and handles the weight of my mic without any sagging. The build quality is great for the price, and it was very easy to clamp onto my desk. It keeps my workspace clean and professional. If you're looking for a reliable overhead stand that actually stays in place, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Not Sturdy Enough For Some Microphones
I was so excited to receive this boom. It fit perfectly inside my 4 x 6 ft WhisperRoom recording booth. Then, I attached my Dachman DA 87i microphone. The boom arm wouldn't support it, not even close. The DA 87i is a clone of the famous Neumann U87Ai. It weighs 450 grams, nearly 1 pound. It's not unusually heavy for a professional-grade, quality microphone. A decent boom arm should be able to hold it in place. Sadly, I had to return this one. ... show more

  • perfect 10/10
I wasn’t looking for a mic boom arm at all. I bought it because I wanted something that could be securely mounted to a wall with zero wobble. Most phone mounts use clamps instead of screws, and in my experience they tend to loosen over time. I’ve tried quite a few of them, and none felt as solid as this setup. After modifying it into a phone holder, I was genuinely impressed by how sturdy it is. Once installed, it stays firmly in place without any movement. Adjusting it up, down, left, or right is smooth and effortless, yet it holds its position exactly where I want it. The build quality and overall usability exceeded my expectations. It feels solid, well-designed, and easy to use. I’m extremely satisfied with it and would happily give it a perfect 10/10. ... show more

  • Not sturdy for heavier microphones
Using with a Shure MV7+, it is too heavy and the arm slowly dips over the day. The nuts that are used to tighten the last two segments of the arm do not tighten enough and just spin and do not let you tighten them enough to keep the arm up over time. I like the pole, and the adjustability, and if they didn't cheap out on how they secured the bolts for adjusting the arm, it'd be perfect. For a lighter microphone I think it'd be great. Their promotional material call out the Shure MV7+, but from direct personal experience, it does not work well and now I'm shopping for something more sturdy. In the photo, the T-Handle bolt at the bottom in the middle is the main culprit with regard to lacking stability. ... show more

  • Solid construction, arm works fine
This mic stand is great. The plastic knobs are a bit flimsy but the metal pieces are very solid. It attached to the desk well and is very stable. Some reviewers have commented that the arm sags and won't hold anything up. That's only true IF you installed the arm upside down. Flip it over and it will work great! The arm moves up and down and stays where you put it. It also slides side to side very easily and is great to work with. The metal pole base takes up about 3x4 inches of desk space on top and not as much beneath the desk. I now want to get another arm to go on this pole to my camera. Would I get this again? Absolutely - good value but I've yet to see how well these plastic knobs will hold up. It sounds like you can find replacements if they do break. If this had all metal knobs it'd be hands down the best one to get. ... show more
