This item is so beautiful and sturdy. I do not have a cat but decided to purchase this for my bearded dragon, who loved the cat climb. PROBLEM- My dog developed, what appeared to be, a Kettle Cough. I was concerned. This Kettle Cough developed 1 week into the Cat Climb being erected. As I did my research, I was reading Kettle Cough is an allergic reaction animals have to something. I was unaware as to what was causing my dogs cough. I’d spoken with a neighbor who seems to be loved by the dog community. This neighbor seems to be well versed and provides advise on animal health. This neighbor has prevented many dog owners, in the neighborhood, from spending thousands at the vet. As my neighbor and I began speaking about my dogs health, he identified the Cat Climb as the possible culprit stating it’s infused w/ catnip/ hemp which is what attracts the cats. My neighbor stated when he had a cat, he had to dispose of the cat climb b/c he himself began experiencing bronchial issues. I, too, noticed my asthma was triggered. One this issue was identified, I immediately removed the cat claw and I’m preparing to disassemble it. I am now cooking for my dog; boiled, chicken, rice, and string beans. All food items are sodium and seasoning free. I also added 3 tiny strips of ginger (the size of a capitol I), until the cough went away. I mopped the area where the Cat Climb sat, cleaned the windows, and opened the windows. Ladies and Gentlemen, no more coughing. My bearded is pissed but my dog, well, that’s my little guy, and he has his health back. The CAT CLIMB, overall, is Beautiful and easy to assemble. I recently adopt two kittens and they LOVE this thing!. The play on, around and in it all the time. They use the scratching post and swat at the hanging ball. Sometimes they sleep or lounge in it, but mostly it's part of their play time or a place to go when being chased. I don't have a huge home, so this was a great find for a smaller space. It was a bit challenging to assembly, and I'm pretty mechanical. Tip - before you put the posts in the bottom cubby (which is a bit tough), use little scissors and trim the carpet away from the bolt hole - this will help keep fibers from being in the way of the bolt. ... show more

I really like this and my cat loves it but I wish i would have measured him more cause he barely fit in it. That doesn't stop him from getting on it and taking naps with his little head popping out. If your cat likes cat condos and isn't chunky, this is a great product!
