Liked the finish it seems like its a powder coated or just very good paint so it seems durable and the color is fantastic, RED. The cabinet is as very easy to assemble. Me and my wife had it assembled under 2 hours taking our time. Instructions are very clear and easy save for a step or two that seemed a little confusing but we figured it out. I recommend strapping the cabinet to anchors on a wall because the cabinet can be flimsy, we leveled it and it rocked too easy. So, If your floor is not level it makes it worse. if you have kids in the house, I highly suggest you anchor it. As you can see the doors did come with dents and its a bummer since this is going to be used in the house. Love the fact that one of the shelves can be used in three ways, as a peg board, as a shelf or as an exterior peg board on a wall. If your doors seem to get stuck when closing the cabinet, then the cabinet is not square. Look at the top of the door corners where they meet, the edges have to basically be at the same height. Play with the cabinet legs or shim it with wood to get the doors to close. ... show more

I reviewed quite a few metal cabinets before buying this one. I knew the lower the price the less quality in the metal panel so I wanted to be careful. It took two people to put it together. Assembly is not tricky and pieces are well marked, even the metal panels. For the price, you get a very nice cabinet that is sturdy and well made. One suggestion; be sure you put the handles on the doors (or at least one door) before closing them. The magnets to hold the doors shut are really strong and you’ll have to pry the doors open.     • Works just fine but ...
If you're looking for a bargain cabinet for shop or garage storage, you've noticed that there are a lot of options, but all have some pretty negative reviews. I picked the MetalTiger cabinet for my workshop and it works very well for me. But it arrived with lots of kinks and dents in the metal pieces, despite what seemed like excellent packaging. That made assembly challenging and the appearance imperfect. I had to drill a few holes in places where pieces did not correctly line up and bend the metal back into shape with clamps and hammers to get it all together. While the metal gauge is thin, the assembled cabinet is easily strong enough for my power tools, solvents and finishes etc. There are hooks and fabric bags on the inside of the doors and a pegboard (metal) panel that fits in the back of the top shelf and these features are useful. I am pleased with the final product, but frustrated that it seems taking delivery of items like this involves a high risk of damage during handling. If you can find the right cabinet at a local retailer where you can search for a package with no signs of rough handling, that might be the way to go. ... show more

Points: +Solid metal material -Assembly instructions were difficult to follow and were not at all intuitive +Metal shelves with metal supports, feels like it can take on much more weight -Some screw holes didn't easily line up but were only minor inconveniences during assembly +Locking doors, door storage, metal material so additional storage possible with magnets +Peg board for additional storage options up top Summary: This is the first too purposed storage cabinet I've purchased and I have no idea why I waited so long. When I say this thing is sturdy I mean I definitely dropped it durring assembly without issue. I'm currently storing tools, power tools, fasteners, paint cans, and anything that belongs in a garage in this cabinet. I love that it locks to keep the kids out of it. Extremely pleased with the cabinet, I can confidently say Ill have this for the rest of my life. Just not impressed with the instructions. Description: Extremely heavy, plan on needing two people to bring it inside. Includes detailed albeit not so intuitive instructions along with spare fasteners and shelf supports. Very satisfied with this product - I assembled it on my own, but an extra pair of hands would have been good - pay very close attention to the instructions and handle the panel carefully so that you don't bend them.

    • Good product - but always arrives damaged
Nice cabinet - but only 3 stars, because we have ordered 5 of these and they always arrive with damage. One had to be sent back because the door was so damaged it couldn't be used. We use in a production facility and it works well and looks clean and nice.

Really happy with the quality for the price. It’s much more sturdy that I expected. Bought two and as soon as I had assembled ordered two more. If I was assembling from a factory unit it would be a pretty easy job but even though it’s packed well in a box inside a box both had some bent corners on a number of pieces and it’s important to straighten these as best as possible for the assembly. First one took a an hour and a half second one about 40 minutes. Second one had less bent pieces. One tip would be if assembling solo once frame is built attach the top before you attach the brackets for the feet, learned the hard way on the first unit. Like that the doors are fully assembled and sturdy, latched and locked perfectly. Well worth the effort And now I have four, the last two came no dents or issues and I was able to assemble solo in about 40 minutes each. Helpful if putting together the black ones to wear a headlamp when installing the top piece as it’s black on black and you’re standing inside the unit for those seven screws, two of which join three pieces.
