The bed is okay. Something I wish I knew before, and another reviewer mentioned below is that the two beds don’t actually connect. The top bunk is shakey because it doesn’t have any bottom support. You’re supposed to screw it to the wall but there is no formal instructions on how to complete that part - just a weird small tie, a screw, and the plastic support for the screw. I’m irritated there is no instructions for that part because it doesn’t seem so simple, in my opinion.

Easy to put together. My girls have loved these beds more than any other set of bunk beds we've had. So far they have been sturdy and not loud squeaky like other sets that we've had.

I bought two of these and returned one after spending way too much time assembling the first one. Not a simple build. If you bought this and you're about to give up, here's a tip. When you get to the point where you have to put all the metal slats into the holes in the side rails, use one of the other metal rails you haven't used yet under all the slats to lift them an inch off the ground and line them up in the position where they can be put into the side rail openings, and put the other side rail against a wall to keep it straight and in place. Took me a while to figure that out and I wasted a lot of time playing whack-a-mole with the slats. Super annoying. They should have given some tips on how to do that in the instructions. The loft bed is also very high up and feels unstable. Definitely have to secure it to a stud. Not impressed at all by this bunkbed or the assembly.

I had two teenagers who needed to share a room for a few months, so we got this. I put it together without too much difficulty and it seemed reasonably solid. One thing to be aware of is that the top and bottom bunks don't actually attach; you're supposed to screw the top bunk to the wall, and it feels pretty unstable if you don't. I'd say it still rates 4 stars, given the price.
