I picked up this baitcasting reel expecting something sturdy and reliable for fishing, given its "all-metal" label and the specs like the 7.2:1 gear ratio, dual magnetic brake, and 8kg drag. I've used several baitcasters over the years, mostly budget options, so I know what feels right in hand and during casts. This was worse than the reels that come on the cheap combos from the big box stores. Right away, the build disappointed me. Despite the name, it's clearly not all metal. The body has a lot of plastic components mixed in with some metal parts, and the overall construction feels cheap and lightweight in a flimsy way, not the durable kind. The design is awkward too. The handle and knobs don't sit comfortably, and the reel feels unbalanced. The magnetic brake system is there, but it doesn't control backlash smoothly, at least not in my brief backyard testing. I only had it a few days before deciding it wasn't worth keeping around. I never even took it to the water because the handling was so unpleasant. This reel just falls short in every way. If you're looking for an entry-level reel, there are better options out there that actually deliver on basic quality and usability. This one just didn't meet expectations for the claims made. I wouldn't recommend it. It's a bad value for the money.

Great Fishing Reel for the cost. Casts extremely smooth. Good weight and feels excellent. The drag works well and has good adjustment. Looks great too. I love it so much I plan to buy another with Right Hand Option. Thanks a bunch.

I picked up this all-metal baitcasting reel to upgrade my fishing setup, and it works exactly as expected. The 7.2:1 high-speed gear ratio and dual magnetic brake system give smooth casting and reliable line control, which makes it easy to fish for a variety of species without constant adjustments. Right out of the box the reel felt well-built and solid — metal construction gives it a sturdy feel in hand, and the drag system handled bass and other freshwater fish with no issues during my outings. The spool spins freely and doesn’t seem to bind or drag, and it’s simple to fine-tune the tension to match the lure weight I’m using. It’s not the most premium reel you’ll find — it performs similarly to other budget-friendly baitcasters in the market — but for the price point it’s a good all-around choice for weekend anglers and anyone who wants decent casting performance without spending a ton. Overall, this unit does what it’s supposed to do and gives reliable performance whether you’re targeting bass or other mid-size freshwater species. It’s a solid reel that gets the job done, and I’ve been happy with how consistently it performs on the water.

I just can't any redeeming qualities for this cheaply made reel. Look at the casing? It's so deteriorated that one could assume it had been priced off before. If so? There's a reason. If not? It's worse quality than I imagined. It came coated in so much oil and grease that it leaked out the box and was everywhere. Was this added to cover possible defects in workmanship and true functionality? The handle spins better than the reel. Not a good value and not a durable reel. This makes me wonder if there is a lake somewhere with a ton of these sitting on the bottom.
