This is listed to work with the Ring Pro/Pro2/Plus doorbell but this thing is huge. I was hoping for a snugger fit and sides that don’t stick out so far. This is so huge it actually blocks the side camera angles limiting your view. If they made one that was actually made for the smaller, thinner more streamlined Ring Pro/Pro2/Plus it would be great but this is not it. ... show more

    • Sturdy, but too large
It is sturdy and will do well, it's a good value. However, with the Ring electric pro it is too large (1/2" over the entire unit) Ideally, I would like to have it nest behind the doorbell, but now I have to mount it to the outsides. Thought about returning it, but haven't decided yet.

Got a TP-Link Tapo video doorbell and my porch light caused some lens flare. I also wanted to add a little protection from rain. This is a large doorbell, larger than most due to its bigger battery, and it fit perfectly with this cover. It eliminated the lens flare from the porch light and that greatly improved the night time clarity. If your doorbell release is on the top like mine is, I suggest allowing at least a half inch of space at the top so it's still accessible if you need to remove the doorbell. Having it lower will also minimize the top of the metal cover appearing on camera. Overall, I think this is a great accessory and I can't imagine having a video doorbell without it. ... show more

Got this for the new nest gen 2 doorbell. Ended up drilling a hole in the top of the awning so we can attach the camera after affixing the awning to the wall. It works great at shielding the sun.

Because of limited space and not wanting to drill holes for screws, I custom fit mine for a Tapo D210 Video doorbell. You can see by the pictures how I have attached Command Strips to the one side of the cover and doorbell. I used cardboard from the item's box to make the strips wide enough to fill the gap between the doorbell and cover. I used super glue to prevent the cardboard from unfolding. This is to make sure not to cover the doorbell backplate which would prevent the doorbell from attaching. Also, I made sure to leave enough space between the top of the doorbell and the top of the cover. This allows my fingers and unlock key access to the top of the doorbell for when I need to remove the doorbell to charge the battery. I wouldn't recommend using the velcro Command Strips for mounting the doorbell bracket like I have. These are what I had available to use. It does; however, allow the option to remove and reattach the backplate, doorbell, and cover all as one piece. Obviously, not great for security purposes. ... show more
