When I first saved this item on a list, I didn't realize that it was a 3-cup, or a triple shot, espresso pour. So, I had to return it for a 2cup. The triple shot is too much for us and it definitely didn't pour right when we only added a double-shot worth of beans. I've read that back flushing isn't necessary if you own an espresso machine, that decalcifying should be enough. I went with that for the first year or so that I had my Gaggia Classic. Then, over time, my espressos started tasting flat and stale. So I caved and bought this back flush as a last resort instead of completely taking my machine apart. Well, it's fantastic! I ran it 7-10 before it ran clear. I used a little Cafiza (espresso machine cleaning powder - also sold on Amazon and superior to any of the name brand liquid cleaners I've tried) in the basket and let the machine do the rest. Now my espressos are back to being my favorite part of most days. So happy I gave it a shot. I was not asked or reimbursed for this review. Just a good, basic product. ... show more

If you get a bottomless Porta filter, you really have to put a lot of effort into making sure it is perfect, or it will squirt all over the place. It does highlight any mistakes you are making.

It was delivered inside a bubble wrap with some stickers, no where on the item or packing says “Made in Italy” as advertised. Some dents and scratches on the portafilter, basket looks fine. Shots are running too fast compared to stock portafilter and basket, will update the review.
