  • Great value!
Fit and work as well as the jura brand at a fraction of the price!

  • Effective, much cheaper alternative to Clearyl filters
To avoid issues with this filter, make sure you follow the directions (i.e. pre-soak and remove all air from the filter before rinsing it). If you don't, the machine will struggle to get water through, due to air in the filter interfering with the process. These filters work fine to replace Jura Clearyl filters, with two caveats: they don't have the RFID chip to allow them to be recognized as Jura Clearyl filters, and they don't have the respective anti-scaling treatment in them. With Clearyl filters you don't have to descale routinely because the filter treats the water in some secret fashion, but with any other filters descaling is required. This is the main reason Clearyl filters have the RFID chip in the first place, to ensure you're maintaining the machine correctly. That said, regular descaling (with Jura brand tablets) along with these filters is far cheaper than keeping a system up with Clearyl filters, which have to be changed far too frequently. I ran some tests on this filter, using my refrigerator filter as a control. Using a digital meter, I found no significant change in Total Desolved Solids with either filter. My untreated tap water is quite soft to begin with, so this isn't too surprising. As far as taste goes: Tap water => tastes like nasty pool water. Spit it out. Fridge filter => tastes close to perfect. EcoAqua filter => 90% of the way to perfect, exhibiting just a hint of metallic aftertaste. In fact, the EcoAqua filter is good enough that what I'm tasting might just be residue added by the recently descaled coffee machine itself (which is the only way I know to test the filter, so I'm unable to remove this variable). The gag reflex induced by tapwater is completely eliminated. In any case, it addresses the water's flavor in a valuable way, making it a cost-effective option for enjoyable coffee. ... show more

  • Does not fit the E6.
This item is shown on the Amazon website along with the Jura E6 coffee machine in the “you might also like” area. It doesn’t fit the E6. When it came time to replace the filter on my machine, the return window had already closed. I suspect there is nothing wrong with the filter, but should not be shown on the same page in the.” you might also like” area. This is likely an Amazon glitch rather than a real problem with the filter. ... show more

  • As good as Jura for Less!
I have a Jura z-model automatic espresso, coffee, & more machine that I use 3-4 times a day nearly every day of the week! For years, I bought the original brand name Jura eco filters but the price just kept going up until, at last order, I was paying over $180 for a “discount” pack of 6 filters. Crazy expensive!! So, since machine warranty is over, I decided to give a knock-off brand a try. I have found no difference in how my mochas taste or how clean my machine stays using these much less expensive filters. The only thing I’ve noticed is the filter feels lighter in weight than the original Jura filter but I think that could be due to a bit thinner plastic used for filter body. I highly recommend these filters if your warranty has lapsed & you’re looking for a way out from under Jura’s ever-increasing product costs! ... show more

  • I guess you have to buy these
Oh, boy, here we go again with these replacement filters. You know, I've been using coffee machines for years, and it's always something, isn't it? These EcoAqua filters, well, they're just like any other replacement filters out there. Nothing to get excited about. I mean, let's face it, folks. You're shelling out your hard-earned money for something as mundane as water filters. It's not like you're winning the lottery. And don't get me started on the packaging – six filters in a box? What a waste of resources! And here's the kicker, folks. You replace one, and before you know it, you're back here ordering more. It's a never-ending cycle of water filtration despair. It's like a dark cloud hanging over your coffee experience, reminding you of the impermanence of life. Sigh. So, yeah, these filters are just fine, I guess. But don't expect them to transform your coffee world. They're just another reminder that nothing lasts forever, and the world is slowly deteriorating. But hey, at least they do their job, I suppose. ... show more

  • Good quality, but not recognized as original
The filters fit well and seem to be of good quality. However, my Jura coffee machine does not recognize them as original, so it keeps showing a missing filter error. Other than that, they work fine, and the price is much better than the original ones!

  • Works in jura s8
This works perfectly well in a jura S8. Once you remove the original filter and you will see a menu option to “use without a filter”. This will turn off annoying reminders to change the filter. (This filter does not have the RFID tag that the original filters have). The filters themselves function well. I used the “hot water” selection a few times to flush the filter and purge the air. ... show more
