This was a surprise for my wonderful, construction worker husband and it was a big hit. He uses this saw on every single job he decides to take on. He just started his business and has no helpers yet. He advised me this had been a life saver when he has to cut angles in he boards. Even though it is predominantly for trim, my husband makes it work for all sizes like 2 x 4s, etc. The saw can be adjusted to lean at different angles which accommodates a wide range of angle cuts. This little saw is tough because my husband built a stick barn large enough for a tractor and several implements with enough footage for a closed in storage room. It has a place to hook a shop vacuum so that cuts down on dust flying every where. That is nice because he doesn't track it into my house when he comes home. He said it's very easy to operate. And he has had wrist surgery, he said the handles were very comfortable for him to use to operate and adjust the saw. This product is well worth the money, highly functional and portable or stationary. My husband is enjoying his Mitre saw and it has been so handy since he works alone. He just loads it in his work truck and heads to the job. Now for big support beams and heavy duty work a bigger saw might be better. But for my husband's needs it is perfect for now. ... show more

The reviews don't do this table miter saw justice. I was new to owning a table saw but I am a pro with the manual version. This power tool is lightweight, portable, and powerful. I watched the few videos on this brand saw. The setup is simple and straightforward. It's as accurate as ones measuring skills. I feel it's quality at an entry level price. I'm comfortable using saw. I have been using the saw on a decking project the last few weeks and can attest that it works really well. You can’t go wrong with the price. Quick and clean cuts with the ability to rapidly change cut angles, lock it in and go. The only item I would advise considering and the reason I have it 4 rather than 5 stars is the limited cut width. The saw pivots for your cut, but does not then slide forward and back. This limits your cutting width, specifically with trying to cut deck boards at angles greater than 30 degrees. Other than that, awesome value for the price and solid saw overall. ... show more

I'll admit that I've only had this thing for a hot minute and only used it for the first time tonight, to cut some angled posts for stair handrails. I have been looking at a miter saw for a while and have read a ton of reviews, gone to various big box stores to look at different models, etc. I just didn't want to pull the trigger, mainly because of prices. But when this thing was on sale for almost exactly $100, I felt it was worth a try, based on some really good reviews and online video reviews. Unboxing and setup was very simple - it took maybe 5 or 10 minutes, total. The instructions were a little lacking, but overall doable. First, I checked some common angles on the table and the bevel, and all were dead-on accurate, straight out of the box - no need for any adjustments, at all! All stops on both the table and bevel are clearly and perfectly marked and easily visible while working. The locking positions on the table work well. As others have mentioned, the nut on the blade is torqued ridiculously tight, so I decided to give the stock blade a couple of passes to see just how bad it was, before putting in the effort to change it out. To my surprise, it cut like absolute butter through numerous cedar 4x4s and left a clean edge. So I'll put off messing with the crazy tight lock nut on the blade until I'm working on something that I definitely need a blade with more teeth. Several people have mentioned the guard. It does feel to be on the flimsier side, and has a little play in it. But nothing so bad that it made me feel unsafe using it, in any way. Pop this baby down and lock it into position, and it's so light and easy to carry around. I could definitely see this being super helpful on a worksite where portability is needed. Would it be nice to have a sliding compound miter saw? Of course. But it's not incredibly necessary for anything that I'm doing around the house. Would it be nice to have a double bevel? Sure. But it's not a deal breaker. Like I said, I've only had this for a day, and only used it for a few small things. But if it performs for the next couple years like it did for me, today, then this will be one of the best power tool purchases I've ever made, especially at this price! ... show more
