  • Quality and accuracy at a good price
Style: C12RSH3 Only
This is a great saw and will easily fit on narrow benches. Just as accurate as more expensive saws. Would definitely buy again and recommend

  • Powerful Saw
Style: C12RSH3 Only
This saw is very powerful and operated great. It’s made to feel and operate solid without much flexing. It’s going to take a little bit of calibrating to get everything cutting perfectly square but out of the box was good enough to make a solid bench. Only concern is it supposed to be sparking like this?? Maybe I should send an email to the manufacturer to make sure… ... show more

  • solid saw
Style: C12RSH3 Only
This is a very nice saw. I like the way it starts a little slower, and the torque doesn't rip the saw out of your hands. It is a very solid saw. The LED light that shows you where you are cutting is very nice and you can still see it in the daylight. There is no on, off switch for the light, so it just stays on. That would be very annoying if you were to set this up permanently somewhere. I put my saw on portable stand. I like that the rails are in the front and it seems more compact than other sliding miter saws. It is easy to adjust the bevel from the front, you don't have to reach around to do this. It had easy to read numbers. The angle adjustment has solid detents for popular angles and it is easy to lock down any other angle that you would like . Dust collection is okay, if you are outside, the bag seems to do a good job, but if you were going to hook it up to a vacuum in the shop, you would have to use a rubber coupler and some hose clamps. There is no spot for the Allen key, that is minor, but if it doesn't have a place to go, it will get lost. The Metabo lets you lock down the depth of cut with would make this saw nice for making lap joints . I purchased this saw on sale , even at its original price, it s is a good deal. I gave it 4 stars, for the poor design for dust collection hookups. ... show more

  • Great saw!
Style: C12RSH3 Only
Replaced an old Hitachi construction saw. I can actually use this for fine furniture. All crosscuts were previously done with sleds on my cabinet saw (Harvey). This is big and accurate enough that I can do cross cuts without excuse. Nice! Duest collection sucks, like it does for every miter saw. C'mon guys - this isn't rocket science. ShopNation has figured it out. I shouldn't have to spend another $100 to get reasonable dust collection. Or build a hood/enclosure (my option). Still, I expected dust collection to be poor. Again, none of my woodworker friends love dust collection for any of their high end sliding miter saws out of the box. All that aside, love the saw and use it literally every day. ... show more

  • Nice saw.
Style: C12RSH3 Only
Powerfully saw, wish it came with a 60 tooth blade. Sliding mechanism is a little sticky but I can power through it. Everything was within specs, no adjustments needed.

  • Meh Miter Saw
Style: C12RSH3 Only
I've had this saw now for several years of mixed performance, I'm going to chime in on it, and my overall experience. I purchased this based on existing reviews and the fact the rails were "forward", meaning better clearance behing the machine, as well as wanting a shadow line. This replaced a 15+ year old DeWalt that was getting to the point it was under performing in the power and accuracy department. The Metabo saw has plenty of power and never felt underpowered, and it looks pretty good. That's where the good ends. The slide rail had bad bearings or something, the chrome coating has been gouged and peeling since day 1, it binds and isn't exactly the smoothest forward/backward motion. There is deflection laft/right so you have to be ever conscious to try and make single pass cuts or your blade marks will be visibly stepped. Accuracy of beveled cuts and pre-set angles are not true and the previously mentioned deflection compounds this. The dust collection (like almost every miter saw) is poor, expect dust everywhere. If using a high tooth count blade, expect even more. I've tried sending multiple email support requests using the website and received ZERO responses so I'm essestially going to sell this for a significant loss and write it off. I had previously purchased a Metabo router which was returned to a big box store, thinking I could easily get replacement parts through the manufacturer. Better luck buying Chinese parts off Amazon. I really want to like the company because these really do feel like heavy, quality products but I think the engineering is questionable and contacting them is not worth the time. I'll be researching new sliding bevel miter saws and a router again soon as I need accurate, reliable tools for my small business without breaking the bank. If you're just cutting big box pine and accuracy doesn't matter, this works (there are better, less expensive solutions for those applications). I'm cutting hardwood lumber for custom jobs and have to add extra steps on the back-end to clean up the cuts. I really wanted to like these tools more, but growing tired of the meh performance. ... show more

  • Great saw for the price, front facing rails are key
Style: C12RSH3 Only
I needed to mount the saw against a wall, so many sliding miters with rails that go out the back wouldn't work. That left me between this one and a Makita, and the price on this was hard to beat. I'm impressed with the quality, and honestly the shadow-based cut line works extremely well. The cut is placed exactly where I want it, every time. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Crappy slider
Style: C12RSH3 Only
Out of the box the bearings were super tight and it was virtually impossible to slide. It loosened up slightly after using it a time or two but after having it over 9 months and it still being very difficult to slide I’d definitely look at other options. Even contacted the company and they said that I’d have to take the saw to a local dealer that was over an hour away to have it serviced. So a total of 4 trips there and back (over 4 hrs) plus no guarantee that it could be fixed etc I opted to put it on marketplace and just get rid of it. ... show more
