I’ve been wearing the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses for a while now, and I’m really into them. They look like regular Ray-Bans but come with a 12MP camera, open-ear speakers, and Meta’s AI assistant. Here’s my quick take based on my experience. The Good These glasses are sharp and fit in anywhere, from casual hangouts to work calls. The camera’s awesome for hands-free photos and 1080p videos—great for capturing hikes or quick clips for Instagram. The open-ear speakers are solid for calls and podcasts, letting me hear my surroundings. The Meta AI is cool for simple stuff like checking the weather or sending texts via voice commands (I’m all about the Kristen Bell voice option). They feel well-made, and the charging case looks sleek. The Not-So-Good The battery life’s a bummer—around 4 hours, and even less when it’s cold out. The camera’s not great in low light, and videos are stuck in portrait mode, which can feel limiting. The AI’s useful but not mind-blowing, more like a slightly smarter Siri. Also, some friends have asked if I’m recording them, so I’m careful about using the camera around others. Oh, and if you need prescription lenses, Ray-Ban’s options are expensive—$100 or more. I needed to replace my polarized lenses and stumbled across VR Wave online. I ordered a pair from them, and they were way cheaper—about half the price of Ray-Ban’s. They fit perfectly and work just as well, so I’m super happy with that find. My Verdict For $299-$379, these glasses are a cool mix of style and tech. They’re not perfect, but they’re fun and practical. Finding VR Wave for lens replacements was a game-changer for keeping costs down.

These are pretty cool. Where I find a good use for them: driving an older car that doesn't support smartphone connectivity. Many states do not allow headphone use while driving, but these are different. There's nothing in the ear or covering the ear. The sound comes from the arms resting *over* the ear. So, you can always hear outside traffic sounds, even while listening to your Waze instructions. The Meta AI assistant is occasionally useful, but don't expect anything more than surface-level responses; i.e., great for quick tasks, not deep analysis. The video and camera feature is also cool, but I don't use it too much.

I have had these for about a week now. So far, so good. Everything works well. The Meta Ai is getting better and better. The upload time is fast. The upload quality is good. Really good. The videos are 3 minutes at a time... I think its a 32g bank. The battery life is good even playing music the whole time. The case hold about 4 full charges. The glasses are durable so far. Music and sounds are loud. BT connect is good... so far so good.

Cool glasses, style is pretty specific. I’m ok with it, they’re pretty generic. They also a little heavy but are comfortable to wear. Takes good photos, the AI is easy to use, mostly use it to tell me about what I’m looking at. Great for an outdoor excursion to take pictures and provide a guide for what you’re touring. A display would add to the experience, I would buy the second version with the display when they come out.

Work great! Best pair of sunglasses in a while with the added benefit of listening to music taking quick snapshots and getting information from your phone. I don’t use the AI functionality that much.

I’m loving this product so far the picture capability and the clarity of the speakers are unreal. The meta ai feature is alittle wonky some times but 10/10 would recommend at the price point.

If recently started wearing sunglasses regularly before getting these and for my line of work, recording in first person can be very practical. Stylistically, they have a great look. And although I have the ai disabled for the sake of "meta not listening to my every move", I'm really a fan of the built in camera, they're way more effective than strapping a GoPro on my forehead. The lenses are good quality and when they're clean, sometimes it feels like I'm not actually wearing the glasses but rather my eyes are just tinted instead. Pairing with your phone has been easy and convenient for transferring clips off the glasses. The only gripe I have is that the charge drains quickly after recording. But I get that you can't expect a large battery in a pair of glasses so I don't let it take away from my overall experience with them (just a note that the case seems to charge the glasses quickly so it can balance out in the right situations). I just wished that different lenses were easier to come by for these glasses.
