  • These are truly a powerful tool. Just use your powers for good.
Color: Havana / Brown Lens Type: Standard
I am completely new to Meta glasses. I use various AI tools and bots in my work, but Meta glasses are -well – fun and completely weird! It’s so much more than earbuds, it’s this magical voice in your head explaining things to you in that exact moment you ask it. Connecting: Easy. There is step by step guide within the app and although the box says ‘Made for IPhone’ these glasses connected to my newer Android Samsung flawlessly. Once done with the directed intro – I experimented with lots of questions and prompts. It’s a hoot! Then I played in the app. There are many settings to adjust and settings to just know they exist. Plan a good 30 min or more to play and get used to some of the features and abilities of Meta glasses. Talking to myself: The words ‘Hey Meta’ wake up the glasses features and allow the user to speak directions/ask questions OR there are a few buttons on the glasses themselves to press to take a snapshot right or adjust volume. The Voices in my head: ‘Hey Meta, what kind of mushroom is this?’ ‘Hey Meta, where can I go to get prescription lenses put into these glasses?’ 'Hey Meta, what's the standard deviation for...." The 3 voice types are great: Aria is a gentle, but knowledgeable female voice; Helio has a voice that is masculine and encouraging; Deepika is a clear female voice with an accent from India. Hearing them speak back to me, in my head… I can’t tell you how freaky that is! I find myself saying "Thank you!" a lot and it replies with various forms of "My pleasure - what else can I help with?" My Prescription: They can be added to these frames! Oh My Word this is a riot! Fit: They are big on my typical to large female head, but I like it. They are spacious at the temple, but tight behind the hears. There is not much for a pad at the bridge of the nose, just a section on the frame that is rubber-like and not as slippery as the rest of the frames. Privacy: This is a huge concern, both for the wearer and for those around the wearer. I get it! So, I asked, “Hey Meta, what do you record or note or remember if I don’t prompt you with a question or to take a photo.” Answer, nothing. Moreso, whatever is recorded/asked is used only for that session. Also, there is a light that is on when recording or taking photos, but I’ve heard this can be ‘broken’ by a professional. I did my best to not give Meta access to much on my phone, but I do find it hard to believe nothing is kept and sent by Meta for Meta… The app: One function in the app I really appreciate is when I ask questions, it records them as prompt and answer in the app for easy look up and review. Photos and videos are also stored where you tell them to be. What they do and don't come with: They arrive in a sealed box containing the glasses, case (with charger in them), instructions, and a soft cloth lense cleaner. They do not come with the type C charging cord they require (plugs into the case). What these are not: These are not the kind of Meta glasses that display on the lenses. It's really more like having an advanced Alexa who can also see what you see, and asking them a question and having them tell you the answer. But the answer is in your head... (That really is weird to me!) Bottom line: Expense aside, these are way fun and more than just entertaining. They are truly a powerful tool. Just use your power for good. ... show more

  • Premium quality...Crystal clear lenses,,, beautiful frame,,, easy to use...hands free is great !
Color: Havana / Brown Lens Type: Standard
The glasses are super easy to set up and use... I like the AI...it can answer alot of question and it can snap pics and record vids with a verbal command...very cool feature ... hands free makes it alot easier to capture the moment as i happens...i like that alot... AI will not identify people or even remember the name of my dog...privacy policy..i am cool with that because i do not want to be subjected to inquiry by a styranger either...so i rest easy knowing the glasses have bounderies...a critical feature i think... The frames look really chic to me...super cool looking glasses... I like the turtle shell materials used and the black with brown accents is sharp... The hardware and attached parts are all premium quality... thick strong hinges for the frame... the detailed padding on the nose bridge...great design... And the lenses ( I got the brown) are very clear and crisp...zero lens distortion... i forget they are on sometimes... The lenses give great light protection...no eye strain at all... The case is premium too ... it is a sculpted kind of leather ... fine quality... soft feeling and a slight texture... I like the charging feature in the case...it works great and the glasses...The charge indicator light on the front is helpfull and looks neat as well... and they are always 100 percent when i put them on... The audio quality is good ... a clean, clear detailed sound with nice mids and highs to it... the bass audio range on the glasses is kind of limited and when the bass is extreme, as in a rap mix for example, the whole sound goes down... i assume this is to protect the speakers... but basically the sound is not very bass sounding... but this is not a deal breaker to me... most of what i play has average bass and the sound is amazing but these are average earphones in the bass area... I like these glasses more than i thought i would... The glasses are of a premium build in my opinion... durable ,dense plastics used... crystal clear lenses... the case matches that quality... And the AI is very helpful when i need it... I'm very happy to have the Meta Ray-Ban (Gen 3), Aviator glasses 5 Stars ... show more

  • A must for family vacations and outings!
Color: Havana / Brown Lens Type: Standard
I fear I can never go back to regular sunglasses now. These are the device I never knew I needed! Design: incredibly and surprisingly light. They feel like my normal sunglasses. The sides have a little thicker arms but you don’t feel it. It is otherwise an attractive and cure style, a little curved so it wraps but not enough to be “throwback” aughts style. Lenses are clear and it’s Ray Ban so the quality is top notch as expected. Pairing: simple but you do have to download an app. Note that it only pairs with one device, I was trying to pair with both mine and my husbands but that doesn’t work. Two people CAN use it, it’s not strict on voice recognition but the photos will come to my phone only, which we’re fine with. I am not great with new tech but these were simple so do not be intimidated by set up. Functions: all I have to say is hands free photos and videos! If you have kids, this is INCREDIBLE. We went to two outdoor events yesterday and I was happily using the voice control and the button on top to snap pics. I did turn on music at one point to try it out, it was fun and my own little personal soundtrack but I shut it off bc again, I’ve got a kid so listening to personal music isn’t really a luxury I’ve got. Limitations: Zoom. There were a few times taking pics that I wanted to be like iron man ZOOM in, yeah, it doesn’t do that. Other people being confused: my son kept looking away even though he knew I was taking a picture, lol, it takes just a second to snap but we kept getting the timing off. The biggest limitation is honestly that these are sunglasses. So events on cloudy days, at night, or inside are not super feasible unfortunately. My 5yo was able to wear these and take pictures so that’s a pretty good endorsement for the ease of use! I can’t wait to bring this to our theme park trip and vacations coming up. This is such a hands free game changer for mamas, I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Memory heaven with my kids
Color: Shiny Black / Green Lens Type: Polarized
I absolutely love these glasses. For me the best part is being able to play with my kids and record what I am actually seeing in the moment without pulling out my phone and changing the whole interaction. That has honestly been memory heaven. Some of the cutest pictures and videos I have of my kids have come from glasses like these because they are not stopping what they are doing to stare at a phone camera. I am just playing with them, talking to them, or hanging out with them and getting those little moments exactly how I saw them. I also own the Gen 2 Wayfarers and that is where I really fell in love with this whole idea. Once you get used to being able to capture things hands-free, it is hard to go back to always reaching for your phone. The Aviator style is also a big win for me. They look like normal stylish Ray-Bans instead of some weird piece of tech strapped to your face, which is exactly what I want from smart glasses. The AI features are fun, the camera is useful, and the audio is convenient, but honestly the family memories are what make these worth it for me. Being able to capture real moments from my own point of view is something I did not realize I would appreciate this much. Great glasses, great style, and easily one of my favorite pieces of tech right now. ... show more

  • Won’t pair with phone
Color: Havana / Brown Lens Type: Standard
Not sure if I got a Lemmon … but my Bluetooth connection kept dropping while using it. Ended up pairing the glasses 5x times before I said, enough and sent them back. I own the adventurer meta glasses and have never had an issue. I truly hope it was just a bad pair… 🙏

  • Really Nice Smart Glasses Once We Got Past a Setup Glitch!
Color: Shiny Black / Green Lens Type: Polarized
We’ve had a few pairs of Meta glasses now, and overall, these Aviators are really nice! I think the style is flattering, and I love how many useful features are built into what otherwise looks like a regular pair of sunglasses. They are well made and seem durable but we are more careful with them. Being able to listen to music, have incoming messages read aloud, and take pictures or record videos without pulling out your phone is so convenient. I also really like how easy charging is. You just put them back into their case. Setup with our iPhone wasn’t particularly difficult, but these were actually the first pair of Meta glasses we’ve had that gave us a strange issue right from the beginning. Every time we changed the Meta voice through the phone, it would switch itself right back to the wrong voice. We eventually had to unpair and repair the glasses to get things working correctly. Thankfully, everything seems to be set up properly now. My biggest complaint is probably the lenses. They’re a little darker than I’d prefer, and I really wish they were transition lenses so wearing them indoors wouldn’t look quite so strange. I might eventually look into changing the lenses. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend more for transition lenses that came factory. Pricing is a bit high but, it’s the quality of the brand you’re buying. One thing I do like is that when I push them up onto the top of my head, they still seem to think I’m wearing them and continue reading messages from my phone. That’s really convenient! People can’t always hear me very well during phone calls when I have them up there, but sliding them back down or switching to the phone speaker is easy enough. Either way they seem to fit well. Overall, we’ve really learned to enjoy wearing these. The features are useful, the charging is simple, and the Aviator style looks great. Just a couple of little things I’d change to make them even better. ... show more
