  • Great Controllers on their own!
So I'm gonna start off by saying that my 5 star is on the controllers functionality use. The controller works well with the Quest 2 that I've found, albeit the small issue with the WiFi function that should be fixed in an upcoming update (but was already fixed on the Quest Pro). Pros: * Benefits with off Camera accuracy quite well. Especially makes back-play much easier to deal with. * Despite being a hair heavier, in weight, it is actually lighter to me, possibly because of the ring. * Native rechargeable battery. Though we'll see how well that will be in months time. * These controllers come with a small recharge cradle. Cons: * 8-9 hours from full charge. * Charge Cradle is very small. * Charge cradle has a specific way of putting it on (i.e. doesn't make it easy to just place and go) * When not in use, still can drain a little. * Requires removing the Quest 2 controllers from the Quest 2 to put in the Quest Pro controllers. So why with the amount of stars for the amount of cons? Well, at their heart, it runs great. I don't have to worry about lighting for full functionality of the controllers which when in one room, the overhead light was so bright, you would think some kind of unknown experience is happening in the room if you looked through the window and it could get through most accessories for the headset for light leakage from the top. In another area, the lighting is too little and would require an infrared light to assist. Plus, if being done in the evening, the area was more echo-y so one could unintentionally wake up others in their rooms. So having these controllers eliminate lighting requirements outright. Plus, sometimes I wanted to look at different directions while firing in another (dual ranged weapons) or move around proper with melee based games and sometimes you need back blocks. While it works with the wrist strap, I would prefer having knuckle straps for throwing-based mechanics. There isn't really anything on the market that I've seen with enough confidence to say "Oh, let me try that" for having such grips. Also, it does come with a stylus for writing, but I haven't used anything that required it so not sure if its even gonna be useful for me. Overall, I still find this a great product. The hard part is justifying the cost if wanting to switch from the Quest 2 controllers. Yes, basically if you got a Quest 2 and got these, you're looking at more of an expense towards a custom PC. But I had my stuff long enough and figured I'd treat myself so the cost was fine for me. ... show more

  • Great, but was difficult to get to connect
My son has been enjoying these very much. After 3 hours of trying to get them to connect to his headset, we finally figured out that the headset has to be 100% charged first. After that they connected without any more issues.

  • It's Great but...
First the positives: These are amazing for what they're designed for, I no longer have to worry about loosing tracking while playing which greatly helps when I'm bringing my controllers near my face or behind me. However it does have a lot of drawbacks: •I spend over 4 hours trying to connect these to my quest 2 and had to use the help of 3 different forums to get them to update •They get stuck updating at 0% when first connecting them, the way I fixed it is: unpair and repair the controllers, restarting headset, factory resetting my controllers, booting my headset, then force updating my headset (while in headset; system>updates) and then it finally allowed it to connect and update •These will struggle to track unless you have lights on, even using base stations or infrared lights it will loose tracking and miscalibrate the position of the controllers until you restart them •Will turn off a few seconds after setting them down and will have tracking problems for a while until cameras can detect where they are again •Button sensors will mistake gestures a lot. Barely got the controllers 2 days ago and it constantly thinks I'm doing the peace sign gesture 24/7 unless I completely let go of my controllers •Will clog up your signals: I use Bluetooth headphones while I play and now my audio constantly cuts out while playing with these new controllers. I switched back to my old controllers and my Bluetooth had gone back to normal Overall, these controllers like very expensive children: they will be very difficult to work with and will unfortunately break other things (like Bluetooth) but are amazing when they actually work ... show more

  • my kid loves them and they work great
They definitely are pricey but worth it. You get what you pay for. They are made well and my 12 gamer son says they work FABULOUS. I would recommend 100%.
