Reviewers praised the MetaQuest 2 virtual reality headset for its impressive immersiveness, high-resolution visuals, and for offering an alternative reality gaming experience that is unparalleled. It is noted as being a great platform for various games and experiences, offering a personal home theatre atmosphere, as well as the potential to physically interact with the virtual gaming environment. However, users also highlighted a few limitations, including an uncomfortable strap, poor weight distribution, and the necessity for high-performance gaming PCs for some titles.

Pros

  • 🔹 Immersive, life-like virtual reality experience
  • 🔹 High-resolution visuals for a delightful gaming experience
  • 🔹 Serves as a personal home theatre with a large screen
  • 🔹 Encourages physical interaction in the gaming environment
  • 🔹 Variety of gaming and app experiences including the popular Beat Saber

Cons

  • 🔸 Uncomfortable strap can cause discomfort after prolonged usage
  • 🔸 Heavily front-weighted, which could lead to discomfort over time
  • 🔸 Requires high-performance gaming PCs for some game titles
  • 🔸 Additional costs for accessories, games, and upgrades
  • 🔸 Short battery life when used wirelessly

Should I Buy It?

The MetaQuest 2 offers a phenomenal virtual reality experience, taking gaming and movie viewing to the next level. • Our son loves it.
Our son loves it. He is actually questioning whether he should buy more Xbox games or spend his money buying games for his Meta 2

  • Fun
Love this thing. It sucks that you have to buy all the games. It didn’t come with anything to play at first

  • Terrible
Our first one got stuck on the loading screen and after hours trying to contact tech support and hours talking to tech support they sent us another. Then that one did the same thing. So dumb me actually BOUGHT A WHOLE NEW ONE because my son really liked playing with it and he was bummed. Then a few months later that one stopped working too. Don’t buy this. Not worth it. It’s just an endless cycle of frustration. ... show more

  • Something wrong
The app and the device do not work. It is miserable to spend this much money on a device and it NOT work and the app that it is supposed to pair with didn’t work either. I am immensely disappointed.
