  • Crazy value, if you get it on sale.
Absolutely floored by 500~ pieces for 5.99 with the 80% off going on right now. Got 10 and making my own DIY pirate bay pier for funsies. My inner 11 year old is going crazy over how the parts quality actually feels rather nice. Quality matches how I remember The Usual Brand is, and maybe even better than getting used stuff from the 90's. Clutch is solid, no miscast parts. No minis other than the animals, unfortunately. A great mix of weird specialized pieces and basic pieces that get better when purchased in multiples. Some really crazy parts like glowing spears and some clever things like the spike trap I wasn't expecting from a bargain pile of bricks. Only issues are the instruction manual is horribly bent and so are the stickers. But hey, for 6 dollars who needs instructions. If I paid full price, this would be a deal breaker though. Doesn't seem to be any printed parts, which is sorta meh. Hey, if you catch this deal, who can say no to like 5000 bricks for 60 dollars? At full price it's an ehhh, but on sale it's exactly what I needed to get transported back to the childhood I always wanted. ... show more

  • Fun
Pretty good. Hard to follow for kids that are too young and they fall apart somewhat while building. Otherwise fun for our boys.

  • Absolutely perfect
Extreme quality for the price. Lego compatible. If you close your eyes could not tell difference in the bricks . Good instructions and very thoughtful design. Only down side is some of the buildings aren't built tall enough for a minifigure to actually fit in, but easy to customize

  • Missing Several Pieces
This set was on sale for $6 like the other Island one. That one was fine. This one started out okay but somewhere after halfway through it was missing pieces. There were about a dozen before I just decided to quit. I displayed what I had completed and put the rest away to use for other projects. Some pieces on both sets were a little hard to put together but most were fine. If apply too much pressure though you may have to rebuild a section of it. I’m guessing that on this one that it’s possible a whole bag was missing. Bags aren’t numbered so you need to open all but it’s not a lot of pieces so that’s not a big deal. Would be okay at $6 if all pieces had been there. ... show more

  • Neat set!
I have an underwater Lego display and totally made use of this set to add to the sunken ships in my display. While I sorta broke it up, it is also a really cool above-water pirate port for your legos as well! The instructions are a little to hard to follow at times, but all the pieces were there, and it looks really cute when completed. Overall, very happy with this set. ... show more

  • Fun, engaging set!
This set is great for getting your kids off electronics for awhile. Between building and then playing pirates, you have a couple hours before they are complaining about being bored again. The set is easy enough for an 8-9 year old to build. Younger builders may require assistance. The bricks are compatible with Lego. ... show more
