My son likes these boots, the fit is as expected, and his feet stay dry. Good for new england fall rainy days, hiking, outdoor play and going to school. FYI These are not for snow- not insulated and not tall enough to keep the snow out of the boot.

I was concerned when I bought these boots. We packed up for our trip to the national park and my son told me his boots no longer fit him. I went to my local REI and they had nothing in stock. Amazon saved the trip! They were delivered the next day. They were so comfortable that my son (age 10) completed the hike that was more than 10 miles and made it to the summit. In boots that DID NOT even need to be broken in. This is hid second pair of Merrell boots. The quality is great. They are comfortable and easy to slide into and out of for camping. They don't show dirt. The midtop gives him support for the rocky desert trails. They were also half the price of my local hiking store. ... show more
